I have a modified version of YT2.4 from OS4Depot to work with MorphOS.
You just need to edit the path to mplayer in the YT.cfg file
The program will display the video address and offer to download it with requester, or play it with mplayer.

in Tools/ drawer, there is a YT_launcher.lha containing a YT executable for AmigaOS4 with source in E language.

It will be possible to port on MorphOS too?

I just recompile it with PortablE.

It will be possible to add a version number ($VER YT 2.4) to YT executable to have a version number showed in Easy2Install please?

Just a note, for the YT launcher to work, it must be in the directory where YT.rexx is and it must be named that (not YTmos.rexx).

@papiosaur: Seems to be a problem of your Mplayer- or System-config! What videodriver do you use in Mplayer?


@SkulleateR: Many videos (here) are'nt accessable when useing Amitube and searching is a pain! OWB+Mplayer or Wayfarer works a lot better.

ok in the 2 overlay mode, the video is attached at the GUI (window resizable) -> graphic bug when i move window in pause mode
mode cgx_wpa: the video is detached of the GUI (window not resizable) -> no graphic bug when i move window in pause mode

I use the same driver on all MOS-machines (Mini, PB, G5, Peg2) and double (on PB also triple) buffered display.
I can move Mplayer-window during playing or in pause mode without loosing content. Window is reziseable.
Mplayer is Version 1.4 beta1 from 16.09.2020.

Could be a issue of your X1950. It's probably better to contact MOS-Team (Bigfoot or Cyfm).

I also have an X1950 and it looks the same as Papiosaur writes.

The rexxsys.library (in MorphOS:libs directory) on MorphOS-CD is only a dummy-library! You have to use the rexxsys.library from a common AmigaOS 3.x installation (68K).

Now fine again, back to testing:

If you're looking for some way to script it, don't bother. Youtube support breaks constantly even on Windows/Linux players like VLC and smplayer - Google really, really don't want people watching Youtube without their API and website and its many ads.

This sounds confusing. The MorphOS-native dummy rexxsyslib.library is installed by default (in MOSSYS:Libs). Grunch can then be used to install an m68k one from Aminet (silently using that archive, IIRC) to SYS:Libs, in which process the original (dummy) one in MOSSYS:Libs is deactivated by being renamed.
