That's a very attractive idea, thanks for carrying it! The only downside i see is that it's harder to upgrade an iso which would be outdated in time

    @ SoundSquare

I agree, a very good idea, but why not simply use Grunch?

i have change "DVD" to "CD" for the moment :-D

@ sounsquare: i can update ISO file every week if i receive contributions every week :-D

@takemehomegrandma : with Grunch you can download many software but not icons, wallpapers, grabs, videos, demoscene, demo of commercials products (i think).

In the ISO file, i install only the essential in each category (to determinate).

You can send me your contributions to papiosaur2 @ hotmail.fr

Don't hesitate to purpose ideas ;-)

Well, you can basically install anything using Grunch. It just needs a proper database for such stuff.

I think Grunch is much more convenient, if more people would create database entries for Grunch to install, uninstall, check for file & library dependencies, and easily keep programs updated, it would be even more convenient and valuable.

I am working on helping someone with their Grunch database entries, but they are for Amiga 68k programs, not MorphOS software. It will be a good learning experience for me, so it will be easier for me to create my own Grunch database entries for any MorphOS programs that aren't already supported by a Grunch database entry.

It doesn't take any programming skills to create Grunch database entries, so even I should be able to learn how to create and maintain Grunch database entries.

    Hi Papi

As much as I appriciate Pack Ultimate idea I think that this kind of DVD/CD bundle is just a waste of your time. I would be ok if internet wouldn't be so popular as it is today but other than that..

The ISO file will be downlable and could be mounted in MorphOS with tool Mounter.

The ISO file is not an alternative to Grunch, just a showcase of MorphOS.

@Geit: after this project, i wil try to do a Papiosaur database for Grunch ;-)

[EDIT] I have added a drawer named "Documentation"

    Yes, different.
Only after amiwest2011, (thx, amigadave) I installed 2.7 on my kids mac mini. Then tried to use/retrieve the Pack.
Never worked, it always timed out.

Now I read that the mac mini may have a ethernet issue?

So the CD was a great chance to try morph again.

    many thanks,

I wish you had contacted me with your problem of getting the Pack Ultimate set up on your MacMini running MorphOS2.7 demo.

I have an 8gb USB memory stick that I use to transfer files from my MacOSX computers, or Windows Vista computers, which can download files faster than my MorphOS systems, so I often do my downloading on those faster platforms, then copy the files to the USB memory stick and then copy the files to my MorphOS computers from the USB memory stick. This it particularly useful for people just trying out the demo version of MorphOS which is time limited to 30 minutes at a time.

I am glad to read that you are not able to enjoy more of MorphOS and the software that runs on it. It is also nice to read that at least one person has been encouraged to try MorphOS2.7, after my demonstrations at the AmiWest shows of the last 4 years.
