Yokemate of Keyboards

Thanks for all the replies and any links. I have tried to solve my problems myself (for hours at a time, and until 3am to 5am on more than one occasion), but without success.
I was pleased with myself when I was successful at installing MorphOS2.1 without any help onto a 4gb 2.5" hdd using a second 4gb 2.5" hdd connected to a USB to IDE/SATA adapter.
Since then I have not had such good luck. I decided to remove the 60gb hdd from my dead PowerBook, move any files from it that I wanted to keep, to my MacBook and then swap it into my EFIKA, but first I used it to transfer my newly arrived morphos.key file from my email on the MacBook & my PC to the EFIKA. I won't bore you with the steps required to reformat the drive to a FAT format so the EFIKA could see it, just that I finally figured out what needed to be done and transferred the keyfile to the EFIKA hdd successfully. I saved it to a safe location, several locations on multiple computers, then put it in my DEVS drawer and rebooted.
I could not find where or how to check to see if the keyfile was recognized and that my EFIKA's MorphOS was finished with being registered, but in a half hour the answer came when the message telling me that it was about to slow down came. I then rebooted, copied the keyfile to every DEVS drawer I could find in SYS:, MOSSYS: and MorphOS2.1:/SYS (my hdd partition) and rebooted again. Still no joy!
I don't know where else to put it or what to do next.
To complicate things further, I cannot format the 60gb hdd from the USB to IDE adapter because it is too slow and/or it shows a connection error, or it times out. I think the most progress I have seen on the progress bar in the format screen was 0.1%.
I wanted to format it and transfer all the files from the 4gb hdd then swap them out and boot from the 60gb hdd and keep the 4gb drive as a backup. Now I am thinking I will have to install the 60gb hdd and reinstall the MorphOS2.1 using the efikainstall.img and mos.iso files again.
I will try hanging out at the irc channel again, but I hate to admit that I have never used irc before and I was maybe mistaken, but it seemed that there were 36 people connected one time and 50 another, but there was no communicating I could see happening, so I assumed that some of them just left connections on all the time and the rest used private groups to communicate and their conversations would not show up to the rest (like me). I did get a couple of answers that were very brief and IMHO just seemed to want me to get help and answers from somewhere else, so I left. The second time was even worse.
But, I will lurk there more to hopefully find that I am wrong.
I will say one thing though, if all of you want this MorphOS community to grow, you had better expect more newbies to show up asking for help due to the low cost of the EFIKA and the recent improvements of MOS2.1.
Thanks again, sorry for the long post.
