There is a link on top of the filelist
    to request a serial-number.
It will take upto 48 hours until
you get a serial and the login details
    for ftp.
(I got mine in less than 24 hours)

The longer you wait the earlier you get
the files ;-) Currently it's totally
    slow ... I started a 20MB file download
this morning ... Guess it's ready in 20
    mins after ~6 hours ...

    I've got this EMail

    Subject Superbundle serial number request
    From webmaster@genesi-usa.com

Thank you for requesting a serial number for the Superbundle at
    http://www.pegasosppc.com/software_bundle.php

Now I have the Download IP and the Password.

I'm a bit disapointed, I thought an IP-Stack and a new www-browser would be a part of the Super- Bundle.

Seems that I have to wait for the MOS1.4 distribution to get an better printer support.

Well, it was known from the start, that Superbundle would not be just that, what it is now, but constantly expanding as new software gets added.

I have made 3 tries to download software from the FTP Server.

The normal command line FTP doesn't work:

    TEMP:DOWNLOAD> ftp zargos.morphos.net
    Connected to zargos.morphos.net.
220 ProFTPD 1.2.6 Server (Debian) [zargos]
    Name (zargos.morphos.net:gerd): ftp> bye
    TEMP:DOWNLOAD> ftp zargos.morphos.net
    Connected to zargos.morphos.net.
220 ProFTPD 1.2.6 Server (Debian) [zargos]
    Name (zargos.morphos.net:gerd):
530 Sorry, the maximum number clients (1) from your host are already
    connected.
    Login failed.
    ftp> bye

Therefore I tried to use Voyager instead. But Only one Connection per
user is allowed, so I started the download. 3 Times. Cause this damned
Voyager Bug demo only allowed me to use RAM: for download only. It
usually crashed when i wanted to do something else not without forcing
    me to reboot the Pegasos.

After all I managed to load:

    VHI_Lite
    FX-Paint
    ProStationAudio

    and
    -----------------------------------------------
    Software Tycon.

For Software Tycoon I had to start/resume the Download again, 70MByte
is damned much for the RAM: and my provider usually cuts the DSL Line
    at midnight.

After it, LHA -X was unable to unarchive the hughe File without 2
small errors. Needless to say that this programm refuses to work
after I started it, just a black Screen nothing more.

    ----------------------------------------------
Pro Station Adio does nothing at Start

At last it doesn't crash ! Is it a demo a jokme or is this normal ? No
    Installer no GUI no Function.

    ----------------------------------------------
    VHI-Lite

    has 4 Camera devices
1st: A do nothing Demo Device
    2nd: A filedevice

and 2 devices for pencams where only one device worked on my cheapest
    most ugly pen cam.

I had a CLI tool before, so what could I do with this VHI demo that
this tool couldnt do ? Is there any other function ? Is it just
because im to stupid to configure it or are they just making fool of
    me ?

    ----------------------------------------------
    FX-Paint Lite ?

Is it worth the decrunching and installing or should I just keep
    working wit TV-Paint ?

Hurray someone 'offical' is concerned about about my FTP problem.

Sorry I forgot that the ID is the password. FTP usually don't show any
password but i forgot that the download page might be different.

I had mailed this log to the web Master before without any results.

Remember that posting something in a public forum means that others can read it, beyond the two or three people that you want to read it. Also, pages in online forums are often cached on search engines, and so your slip-up has a longer-lasting effect.

    Look Damian,

this ist a logging of an ftp login session:

    TEMP:DOWNLOAD> ftp zargos.morphos.net
    Connected to zargos.morphos.net.
220 ProFTPD 1.2.6 Server (Debian) [zargos]
    Name (zargos.morphos.net:gerd):8888888888888
    331 Password required for 8888888888888.
    Password:
    230 User 88888888888C logged in.
    ftp> dir
421 Service not available, remote server has closed connection

Do you see any passwords ?
    No normaly not !
I just forgot that the ID is the secret part.

Is there anything else you could see in this short log ?

There is something wrong that has something to do with your server ...
    guess what ?

    ............................

Don't be afraid, i'm using computer at home just for fun. This
download session was no fun at all. So I will avoid to do any download
from this server that is longer than 20 MB.

Just an Idea for a 'Next Generation Software Distribution'

If there would be an Open Napster Server for the Software Distribution
we could share the Files. So we would have faster Downloads with Less
Server Traffic. Maybe the Files should be Compressed with Zip and a
Password or some Kind of Keyfile ....

Napster is Available for the Amiga, Amster could do Resumes there is
just the Question how the access to files could be restricted to
    Oficcial MOS Owners.

    I dowbnloaded Software_Tycoon.lha again.

This time I could do it without any resume.

As I tried to exctract it I got again 2 defective Files.

    Here is the message:

    *** Error on file 'AHI_MUI' : I/O Error
    WARNING: Skipping corrupt/extraneous data
394 files extracted, 2 files failed.

    Operation not entirely successful.

    TEMP:SuperBundle> lha x Software_Tycoon.lha

    -----------------------------------------------

    Is the archive defective ?
Has anyone else managed to install this game from this distribution ?
