Any chance the covers can be provided in an image format for those who aren't going to Amiwest?

I like printing covers for stuff I have to burn, and I think the artwork is cool.

I want to second tokais and Madgun68s idea to
make this SuperBundle CD available as an iso or
    image for download.

I also like the idea to put JoBBos nice artwork
somewhere on this image, so that its possible to
print it out and put it in a DVD jewel-case to
do a home-made box looking like the box you'll
    give away at AmiWest. :-)

That is a good idea. We will do that and we will get Jobbo's artwork there for download too. BTW, 1.4 looks great thanks to more of the same talented artwork...;-)

    I agree.
    I agree.

However, I think we should still have some different artwork, inserts, and disk labels for the resellers. I'm not looking to hurt anyone, but rather to help those who make their daily bread by selling good.

We should also consider things like a uniform "Approved for use with" stickers and graphics. This will make it easy for resellers, particularly those with storefronts, identefy items to users. Picture this, a USB webcam with an approved for use sticker featuring Poseidon! The online resellers have a graphic, and in the store the item is easily recognized. In today's reseller circle, this could help the seller who has multiple kinds of items in his or her shop.

That is a good idea. I remember the old 'System 7 Savvy' Mac software stickers, as well as the WB 2 and 3 Amiga software stickers.
It seemed like those stickers encouraged developers to keep up too.

My words exactly :) I'm most curious about possible new features/additions which were not announced yet... You know, the pleasant surprise factor :-)

Downloadable ISO's is a good idea for our high bandwith community members, but even they would get fed up with huge downloads. The intention is to make a downloadable archive.

I think many solutions should be provided to the different range of users. ISO is a good, reliable and easy way to provide updates (not all ISOs are large files, CD-Rs are inexpensive and you can keep your data outside your computer in case of crash). Also, archives are always a good thing. What about a kind of apt-get (Like on Debian Linux) to update software on-the-fly connecting to some main server(s) with authentication for non-free updates/software?

Again, this is only my opinion, but Genesi charges the reseller for the promotianal items, and the reseller charges their customer a "nominal copy fee." This is, of coarse, assuming that the SuperBundle continues to be provided for free.

This is a good idea too, of course depending on whether Genesi provides free updates / new software for free (I mean, even after the SuperBundle event).

But, please, everyone, don't let your expectations raise too high - it's still just an 0.1 step from 1.3 to 1.4.

Furthermore, given that there's a prototype of the STB for some time now, it could be that the core developers of MorphOS have been also quite busy with adapting the OS to the STB during the last weeks.

I do generally prefer to be pessimistic, then I can only be surprised in a positive way. :-)

    Remember the Indrema? http://www.playerschoicegames.com/indrema.html
I was hoping to get/develop for one of those ;-(

I hope the Pegasos STB can be a suitable substitute.

Great idea. I had a brief dabble with Debian on the A1 before my Pegasos arrived and apt-get was possibly the only thing about it that I really liked (well, apart from kPackage, which did similar).

I'd love to see a feature like it on MorphOS.
