    Hi to all,

I recently became a new Pegasos II user and I am very proud of it ;-)

I installed MorphOS 1.4 in my hard drive. I also installed Ati Radeon 9200SE and everything went ok (so this gfx card is compatible!).

The problem I have is that I cannot change my resolution to 1024x768x24 (Is there any option to choose 32bit?)

My monitor is NEC MultiSync LCD1550V

I run System Setting and Monitor Settings and whatever resolution I choose, I press Test, it shows me how it would be, then I save and reboot the machine but the old resolution is there again (I think is 640x320x8).

    Any help would be appreciate...

Within the preferences there is "mode edit" where you can edit a screen mode and "screen mode" where you can set the screen mode for any screen. After setting up a good screen mode in "mode edit" you must reboot and go to "screen mode" and chose the according resolution for the amient screen or any other screen you like.

Within "mode edit" you should take care tht the mode you just edited has no check mark "hide".

Ambient -> System settings -> ModeEdit

First, go in the Monitor tab and select the monitor that most reflects yours.

Then go back to Modes tab and click on New, select the mode you need (if I were you, I'd add the same mode twice, one for 16-bit and one for 24-bit). You can test them.

Hint: Use VESA modes, as they are standard modes and work on most if not all monitors.

    Hope this helps ;)

Ok thanks guyz!! I did it everything works perfect now.

But I cannot use 1024x768 in 24bit mode, only in 16bit mode why?

Well, 32 Bit graphics doesn't really exist.
    32bit GFX is 24bit (R, G and B-Byte) + a 0-Byte.
This is because some Architectures can handle 32 Bit faster than 24 Bit.
For example the XServer only provides 24 Bit, too. But if it's faster using 24 Bit + 0-Byte, it uses 24 Bit + 0-Byte.
32 Bit is a wrong Name that Microsoft invented - it doesn't really exist ;).
