IMHO "Un OS sfolgorante" sounds pretty good...

A bit sounding "ancient style" but good...

Sure this brainstorming about titles produced random some good ideas.
Bill Gates "Think!", Steve Jobs: "Think different!" So... Let these guy continue blabbering thinking and enjoy computing! We are on Amiga!

Just want to say, I'm still alive, and translating :P. I think I will finish this weekend... I have started to work (I mean, real, boring job), and that slowed down the translation ;).

The Efika era begins! Just in time for the announcement of the renewed collaboration between Genesi and the MorphOS Development Team, a new extended version of MorphOS: The Lightning OS has been published on the Power Developer web site.

The original version published on OSNews has been completely revised, and many new sections (Developer tools, 3D graphics, Games, MorphOS exclusive software, F.A.Q.) almost double the size of the article. "MorphOS: The Lightning OS" tries to be the most up-to-date description of our beloved OS.

I would like to thank publicly Andrea Maniero, who wrote some of the new sections, Frank Mariak of the MorphOS Team, who carefully supervised the technical contents of the article, and Martin Heine, whose uncountable suggestions and criticisms allowed me to improve the article quality.

The biggest thanks go to the translators, whose voluntary efforts try to distribute the knowledge of MorphOS existence to the largest audience of people who do not understand the English language. Let translators work be more effective! Please spread the news in your countries. German and Russian translations of the extended article already exist, and Italian, Spanish and French translations will follow soon.

"MorphOS: The Lightning OS" extended version is available here, too: English, German, Russian, Italiano (traduzione incompleta).

Today a new season of collaboration between Genesi and the MorphOS Team starts! I hope the old wound is finally healed.

Great article,a great improvement/upgrade of the version 1.0

For me it's the case to repost or integrate the new article's parts with the old article on OSNews, just in the case someone want to dig more the MOS world

Of course there is no problem. Anyway I have other very good criticisms by the "Nitpicker" :-(, so I will send you a slightly modified text within the next 12 hours. :-)

Wouldn't it be better to wait for possible further changes?

No, not by me - please relax, Fulvio :-D - but by the other translators maybe.

Or do you have direct access to exchange it by a newer version without Targhan's help if necessary (given his - understandable - occasional absence)?

Well, the biggest thanks obviously go to yourself and Andrea for the uncountable hours of hard work to assemble this long article in the first place. Compared to this creative achievement, "just" translating it has been much easier, obviously.

    Thus thank you very much!

I dont have access to put it. Just thought it would be a great addition to "intro to mos". And theres no hurry either, let Targhan put it 'when its done'

A slightly changed version of "MorphOS: The Lightning OS" - extended version - is now available. Version number was bumped to 2.01 due to the corrections done here and there in the text. (The problem was always the same: Senex nitpicking... :-) :-D)

Now the article page is framed, so sections can be found more easily. Also the Italian translation is complete. French and Spanish translations should follow soon.

I was writing something like "Great! Welcome in the translators team"... But you edited the post and the addition was a surprise for me.

Czech translation already done!? Where is it? Was it made by pecan and luky? Can I put it on my homepage?

I suppose syner means this one, but it seems to be "just" based on your original OSNews article, not the current version.

Yes! As anticipated by bigdan, "MorphOS: Le systeme d'exploitation foudroyant" is now available.

This is the French version of "MorphOS: The Lightning OS" - extended version. It is available on my homepage together with all the other translations:

English, Italian, German, Russian, Spanish, French.

Many thanks to Jean-Francois "Jeffrey" Richard for his hard work, and also to the proofreaders (batteman, bigdan, and JF's wife)!

"MorphOS: Le systeme d'exploitation foudroyant" will be available also on the Obligement website!

    -----

The French translation is now the last translation completed by means of hard voluntary work, but actually it would have been the first if people had joined their forces! In fact another guy worked independently (and we were unaware of his work!) and finished at the same time his own French translation. I think that also the effort of Gilles "The Bucheron" Mathevet must be credited here. French speaking people can visit his uncountable webpages dedicated to the Amiga and the Pegasos. There you will also find his translation.

    -----

On my homepage, instead, you will find an unissued article written by me and Guruman a few months ago for Amitopia. Unfortunately that number of the magazine was never published, so I decided to put the article online on my homepage just for historical reasons: it was a report from Pianeta Amiga 2006.

Please support Amitopia paper magazine and his creator Michal "MorphDelf" Bergseth!
