I had this issue with whatever linux distro I was using 18+ months ago... I resorted to installing a Windows pdf viewer via Wine. If I were having the same issue again now, I'd use the same program but it'd be running on a VirtualBox Windows install - Wine's not bad but it (or linux) dropped the ball often enough to prompt me to try a different solution.

Relating this back to MorphOS, basic pdf display is clearly not such a demanding programming challenge these days but, it seems, a full featured, properly bug tested program of any description... That's another story!
PPC assembly ain't so bad... ;)

MorphOS comes with 2 PDF viewers, the older Apdf and the newer VPDF. Apdf prompts a requester for password input when you try to open a PDF file with it that is password-protected from viewing, so this should work (haven't tried, though). Problem is that Apdf lacks compatibility with newer PDF standards so the pages may look wrong (missing transparency etc.). VPDF (which correctly displays newer PDF standards) doesn't support password-protected PDF files, I believe.
You could also try with command line tool pdftops from http://aminet.net/package/text/misc/xpdftools_303_m68k which offers options to let you enter the password and saves to a non-protected PS file (which you can then convert back to a non-protected PDF file with Ghostscript).

    Tried Ghostscript ?

As that may well allow you to view the PDF as it sometimes circumvents (gets around) the Password protection I seem to remember - just a thought.

Yes, password-protected pdf files are not supported yet by vpdf. This is on todo list but since they are pretty rare it is not a priority.

I doubt this will work. Password-protected viewing of PDF files is not just a flag that a viewer can decide to simply ignore (contrary to disabled or password-protected editing, copying or printing). A PDF file that is password-protected from viewing is also encrypted with the password being used as a parameter for the encryption algorithm, so will have to be decrypted for viewing. Without knowing the password this is only possible with brute force method or similar.

Not so rare here anymore at work they started to deliver the paycheckformular? by email now.
    And these are password protected.

You are a hardcore player. If you THE Old School RS Gold are a hardcore player, you would be in the game a lot. There's a really good chance that you have already gone through the pain of farming gold in order to afford that Epic Flying Mount. You've probably even bought one or more gold and leveling guides to help you on the way.
