hi guys how do i ad servers to mldonkey or can you guys help me with a
copy of the server.ini file i just cant get it to work same with

What's with the server.ini included in the bonus directory of the mldonkey archive?

Well, since we are at this topic already: I don't get it to work here either.

I've set the usual ports for the Pegasos in my router's config, but "vm" reports just that mldonkey is "connecting" - not "connected". (I'm not speaking of the fileTP.)

Could this be related to the need of adjusting some settings in Miami (not MiamiDX) as mentioned in the readme? Unfortunately I didn't find similar keywords to those of the AmiTCP example.

The time-out for the server connection I set higher, as suggested in the FAQ of the mldonkey forum.

well ive now got it to connect some servers but the gui isnt helping
me with the search when i search i come up with nothing.

any help here would be fine

you have to view the searches. use "vs", without quotes

what do ya mean vs ???
is that within the gui ???
and how does mldonkey work with a webbrowser i only get welcome to mldonkey in that screen ?????

mldonkey works just fine on the Peggy. I've downloaded Gig's worth of stuff using mldonkey. The bonus servers.ini replaces the one in the mldonkey directory.

You will need IBrowse or AWeb to use the HTML front end. You will also need to set the HTML-Mods to off (0). I generally stick to trorrents downloads, and copy the url with the .torrent extension to the clipboard. then, in the command string line of the webinterface I enter:

dllink http://blah.blah.blah/blahblah.torrent

where the blah blah is the torrent url copied in the clipboard.

mldonkey is actually easier than it looks.

you never heard of enqueueTorrent? See link in my signature and check tools section. Take some time to set it up properly (it's explained step by step in the guide) and you can save a lot time in the end, because you don't need to copy anything to the clipboard and don't need to enter "dllik <url>" manually. Just click once and let enqueueTorrent and mldonkey do the rest of 'work'.

i tried that but i get the messgae url not know something like that.
but when i look at connected servers they are al connecting not 1 is
online what are the settings etc. for mldonkey. by the way im in a
home network true networkingcarts no router or stuff like that
or do i have to update the server list???? i get connected to 3
servers at the donkey network
then list of servers and at he bottom
connected to 0 servers on the file tp network

how does the bittoreent work i have one forwarded to mldonkey but i
cant see if anything is happening with it ????

after you readed the ReadMe and installed it like it was explained step by step in the ReadMe you should be able to connect to the HTML interface of mldonkey, which looks like THIS.

here... you can click on "Downloads" too see your download queue... you can click on "Custom Search" -> "mp3 search" for searching for mp3s (as example) and you can click on "View Searches" to see the results of your search requests and start downloads.

It's easy IMHO.

wel tokai thats the prob i have the webthingie and can search anything
but if i go to clients ive got no connection and with servers the same
not connected to any client and srevers are connecting not much more

hi guys i still cant download anything from mldonkey and his webhost.
servers seems to be empty no files on them and or they not connecting
and true bittorrent files the same nothing happends
can somebody help me out here maybe send me a goos config file or
server file to see if that works ??

Do you have servers in the database ("View all servers") and if you're behind a firewall/router then you have opened the required ports?

I also tried Ibrowse like you are using it, in case it would have been Voyager's fault.

The only imaginable reason IMHO is, as mentioned earlier in this thread already, that it is Miami (not MiamiDX) which causes the problem - or did anyone succeed using mldonkey with the standard Miami?

wel i dont hink its miami because im using genesis tcp/ip stack.
but where can i find wich port i have to use ??
im not on a router its a network with only networking cart in both pc and shared internet? im at work right now when i get home will check if on of the pc is using a firewall.

Well, for eDonkey for example 4661, 4662, 4665.

I'm using miami (not dx) and I am behind a router.
everything works just fine here.

I changed the html_mods so it worked with Ibrowse,
and I use the server.ini from the bonus archive.

I'll check my other settings when I have more time.

well guys im not behind any firewall. but mldonkey is still not
getting further then trying to connect to the servers of the
server.ini from the bonus dir.
so mldonkey isnt comming online here.

If you are not behind a router/firewall, you don't have to care for the ports.

Myself, I can't continue to investigate our common problem until the weekend, since I'm not at home currently.

well im download right now from mldonkey but the donkey servers are still not connected only fastrack and soulseek and bittorrent work how can i get the donkey servers working to ???

its damn slow right now with the download speed.

Hi everybody,

Yesterday I read this thread and also started to play with MLdonkey.

Starting MLdonkey with that servers.ini or so from the bonus-dir gave me nice connected stuff in the CLI-window of MLdonkey.
Also installed that enqueueTorrent from tokai, followed the guide-file (or is there also a readme-file to follow ).
Started IBrowse, but in there I see a very messedup screen, totally not as shown in this thread by tokai.

I'll try to play more this evening.
First I have to try to save a pc from a colleague. It doesn't want to bootup again after a crash in Word, unless you startup in Safety Mode (he's running Win98 and Office97).
