This settings are for SCube (since this tool needs the graphic part to work) not for SZoom.
I verified and SZoom starts well if you put in WBStartup: you don't need to operate any modification
to SZoom icon, only place it there. For SCube and other programs that need other elements to work (i.e. graphic)
you have two choices: copy the program and all it needs to work in WBStartup or use an icon to call the program.
So, put the SCube icon in WBStartup and yes, the default-tool is the app itself in this case. Or, in other words,
the program that WBStartup will call.

How to get the systems file-viewer to always show all files instead of pictogramms?

You mean "How to get Ambient to display "All Files" instead of "Icons only"? That's simple. First you need to set a given directory to display "All Files" (with a cycle gadget, or with RMB context menu) and then use the "Snapshot" option (again from RMB menu). That saves the selected view for the whole directory. But! This directory needs to have an icon (the way of displaying files needs to be written somewhere). So, i.e. if you want your pendrive to display "all files" every time you open it, you have to put a disk.info on it before experimenting with "Snapshot".
