    Hello all,

I'm learning C/C++ and SDL2 and i would like to have "small jobs" on MorphOS, i have already realized some projects for MorphOS:

    https://www.morphos-storage.net/?all=1&dev=Papiosaur

If you want specific projects on MorphOS, don't hesitate to contact me. I study all propositions: script, filetype, gui, ports, improvements of ports already realized, etc.

I can work on specifics projects asked by many users with bounties to define.

Small donations are always welcome :-)

The donations/bounties could pay server price for morphos-storage.net too.

Amiga fans want everything for free, and by paying for the hardware they must think that everything else is included.

@ papiosaur - How about trying your hand at a text editor, like NoWinEd, as there should be some source code available for it, and it hasn't been updated since 2016, and we need a really good text-editor/wordprocessor, and as you learn, maybe you could consider adding features that would expand the capabilities of any program that you do commit to enhance!

Such as, adding the printing features of MorphOS's Printers options, the ones that Zukow implemented that bypass TurboPrint.

If you manage to improve it then I would have no problem offering some fair donation for your efforts. 8-)

We are still waiting for Final Writer v7 to appear on the scene, which is a program to aim to end up with such features, as that would be nice to eventually end up with a successor. That said I always preferred WordWorth, but it never had JP(E)G 24-bit colour support, but it's toolbox interface offered so many great features in an easier to understand GUI. 8-D

@ChrisC: no problem, don't hesitate to propose me others projects because find projects take time ;-)

@NewSense: yes, a word processor will be fine. PageStream do the job but not configured like a word processor for "newbies". A demo version in the storage will be fine.

About a text editor, FlowStudio do the job perfectly too.

I will do a try if a small word processor is possible.

Maybe you could try to write a markdown file, convert it with Markdown-viewer in HTML and view it in Wayfarer and print it? Maybe it do the job that you want? Markdown-Viewer could be improved of course.
Mabe a HTML file converted and relaunched by Wayfarer in real time will be possible to see changes? Maybe a feature/module to add at FlowStudio?

I will try do that using AmigaDOS script and Arexx...

[EDIT] the AmigaDOS script save Markdown file edited in Flowstudio with Rxcmd command, convert it in HTML and launch it in Wayfarer.

I have integrate hotkeys in the script:
F1 pressed - Update HTML in Wayfarer
    F2 pressed - Quit Markdown-Creator

It will be possible after that to convert the HTML file to PDF for example.

I could maybe do a GUI in Hollywood to define font, margin, etc.

Maybe a module for FlowStudio supporting Markdown code will be fine.

@ Papiosaur - Folio was a great idea by André Siegel, but it seems to have stalled, notwithstanding that OWB (Odyssey) is no longer the MorphOS default browser, but Folio is incompatible with Wayfarer, but still works with OWB.

I'd really like to see a wordprocessor like that as it would incorporate itself in our browser, where there are already lots of fonts, with options to save a file as a PDF or as a program specific filetype or print it out using the MorphOS Printers capabilities.

That way, some of the pre-requisites of a wordprocessor have already been handled and incorporated into the browser, so you would only have to work out how to make the wordprocessing part function within the browser. Though that's not a small amount of effort right there !! It's just a suggestion. ;-)

@ Papiosaur - there is an incompatibility between the browser engine(s) I believe, the code that André wrote the Folio engine with does not work with Wayfarer. I think Frank Mariak (cyfm) did create a runtime engine or something similar for André to move his project forward, but I just haven't seen or heard anything from André regarding progress for some considerable time with Folio, sadly! :-(

I feel sure André will tell you directly if he would be OK, or NOT, with you continuing his project. He is a straightforward person to talk to, from my experience so you will get a straightforward answer to such question(s) if you make contact with him ... if he hasn't already read this thread/comment! 8-D

Yes, explanation by ASiegel there (#18).

Hasn't Kite been done by jacadcaps? There's been some mention of Kite in that thread.
