Got some problems trying to install the chrysalis pack on my powerboo G4.

I had a totally fresh install of the MOS3.4 and a verifyed iso of crysalis iso.

    The installer went fine

    Computer restarted.

Clicking in to system folder put a requester on the screen asking for a library
    bsdsocket.library version 0

going to applications and ovb and tried to start owb..

Got a new requester asking for openurl.library version 0

before chrysalis installation everything was working fine..

Trying to go to prefs and network just give an error on the screen
    "COULDN'T USE THE PREFERENCE CLASS"

To me it looks that chrysalis screw up the whole system for some reason

Pack Chrysalis for 3.2 works fine, but from 3.3 I've gotten plenty of problems. Programs not installed correctly and things being incompatible with this and that. Luckily, I've have used a backup from the working version and used it up until now, using Grunch for updates.

Maybe Papisaur could re-release some older versions so we can test then and try to figure out where it went wrong?

@droopy: pack Chrysalis 3.4.1 for MorphOS 3.4 work fine here.

Plese reinstall MorphOS 3.4 on formated partition and install last pack and say me if there is change.

I have got a problem with my fist installation of MorphOS 3.4 on PowerMac G5 (can't open bsdsocket.library version 0), i have reinstalled and work fine now.

I reintalled about 3 times both mos3.4 and the chrysalis pack with no change even reburn the dvdrw I had.
When trying to view the content of the dvd with winzip I noticed that the unarc had some errors and was verry slow. So I suspected that the iso file itself might be the problem even if the lenght was correct and it burned OK. tried to copy the iso to my powerbook and mount it... same problem.. Next I downloaded a New "fresh" Iso and mounted it and did a new install..

And voila No more strange requesters and prefs network seems to work. The new iso's achives still have problems to be unpacked under windows complaining about filenames (I guess amiga style #? an .? is the problem now for winzip in some of the filenames)

My problems seems to been a faulty iso file.. so faar things seems to work ok.

Thanks for the replies ! Sometimes it is good to know that people actually get things to work, that helps ruling other problems out and try to look in the right place.

    @droopy

In most cases you don't need to burn a CD. Just mount it in MOS. A quicker and cheaper solution.

That's really the best solution for sure, as MorphOS supports
    images mounting.
I realized that after burning Crysalis CD-RW with K3b
