A touchscreen driver for Poseidon, isn´t that great news?

Well, it is great to have drivers for everything! But imo, touchscreen is good only for PDAs and NoteBooks... when there will be one with MorphOS running?...

Last I really liked my Newton MP2000, the best thing Apple ever produced. I guess characterrecognition software is a long way off for MOS but all steps towards a MOS pda is good.
But for desktop use a larger screen would be better, ever seen those 15" and 18" Wacom Cintiq combined TFT-screens and drawingboards that some Mac-people have? but those costs a arm and a leg (3500€ )

I can kill for a 21" CRT touchscreen monitor, being a very good monitor and very good touchscreen, maybe as one of those wacom? And supported on MorphOS ;)

I really not like a lot the mouse, touchscreen are more precise and better for things like paint program, and faster for use interfaces (no need to move the cursor for push a button, simply push the button...)

Anyone seen the serie of James Cameron, Dark Angle? On a chapter of beginning appears a "military grade" touch screen ;)

2 timofonic: and how about the right or middle mouse button? and mouse wheels? Imo, the touch screen is good only for few things... I would not say, that it is more precise, atleast not, when touching it by fingers... Not talking about dirty screen full of fingerprints...

no need worry for middle and right moucebutton, there are pens with a
lot of buttons on it.

and also a simple scroll.
1-press a button
2-press anywhere on the screen
3-and simply drag the screen down.

it is like pulling down a toiletpaper

I dont see the point of having a touch screen for home use? What would you need it for? Its still great that someone is working on such things though. With a perfectly workig driver you could make a real nice demo stand in a hotel or airport ect.
