    Hi,

I had trouble to make my 1680x1050 LCD screen works with my Mac Mini in native resolution. LCD worked fine with lower resolution. I searched if this was a known problem and it seems that some mac mini + 1680x1050 LCD screen combo have this trouble.

My other LCD 1280x1024 broke his backlight this morning... I have to buy another screen.

I plan to buy one to those :

    - Hyundai W220D
    - IIyama B2206WS

Do anyone uses Mac Mini on such LCD screen ?

Or what 1680x1050 LCD do you have that works with Mac Mini (and MorphOS of course...) ?

    Hi Tcheko

I'm working on Samsung SyncMaster BW2053, 21 inches. Works great with MorphOS, Pegasos and MacMini in native 1680x1050.

    LG2242T (used in Bad Bramstedt)
    Sumsang245b (24") in daily use
    Both perfect over DVI.

My LG M2294D TV/Monitor worked fine over DVI with one mac mini but not the other :-?
Although I seem to have problems with both my LG's (I also have a M2394D as well) with my Pegasos machines and certain Radeon cards so they are obviously finnicky monitors :-(

I am using an ACER 23" widescreen LCD with 1920x1080 24bit display screens with no problems. It is almost strange to have this much room to work with on an Amiga system. It is like having two monitors side-by-side with no monitor frame between the two screens.

I am using a Iiyama ProLite E2403WS 24" monitor and my MacMini works fine at 1920x1200 using the d-sub connection (the monitor has both D-sun and HDMI).

Notice that you maybe either have to decrease coulor or resolution to run enhanced mode.

Do you use VGA or DVI? In case of VGA an upgrade to DVI might solve your problem. I'm using a four year old 24" DELL display in 1920x1200 with no hassle over DVI but compressed to 1600x1200 over VGA.

If you would buy a new LCD monitor and not use DVI then you would be totally crazy.

These widescreen monitors are very nice. I'm waiting for software developers to realise that when they resize the GUI to fit the screen they do not need to use the whole screen. Many applications set a default window size to fill the screen and it looks strange in widescreen.
