    Hi polluks,

yes in USB 2.0 mode without drivers will be nice

I don't think usb 3.0 will be supported one day on MorphOS, sometimes i dream :-)

[EDIT] The PCI model support is NEC i think isn't it ?

Why not just install a USB 2.0 card?

The only advantage of this scenario what I see is
PCIe card with usb 2.0 with MorphOS and usb 3.0 with linux. Usable with Powermac DC, X5000 and maybe X1000.
But without MOS drivers for 3.0 it have very little value.

    Thanks for your returns ;-)

    I have a Quad and i don't think there is USB2.0 PCI-E card.
Maybe PCI USB 2.0 card are compatible with PCI-E ports of the Quad ?

I haven't found one with an NEC chip, just VIA based cards, but I haven't looked extensively yet.

I looked further and found this SYBA card.

it was only answer to theory mentioned in #3 - i.e. USB 3.0 card used with MorphOS like 2.0.
I don't think such card exists.

Now I am using in my X1000 PCIe 3.0 card, it works in linux like 3.0 and not works with MorphOS ( no surprise).

You can use PCIe - PCI bridge + PCI NEC USB2.0 card.
Or - maybe the simplest way is powered USB hub - Quad have working USB 2.0, but few ports.

With "it" = X1000, or "it" = PCIe 3.0 card?
