Is this yet another device with hidden audio hardware, that listens into users that are unaware of them being spied on?

Additionally it could just be the Isochronous usbaudio is just showing still how out of control it is in MorphOS, as I've got nothing good to say about it as yet with v3.11. For me it still needs some serious work to get it functional with ALL, or at least with as many as possible, USB audio devices, and the Hardware Compatibility list in the MorphOS Library needs to be kept up to date with any newer devices that actually function correctly, once Isochronous USB audio is working as it is expected to, which it isn't at the moment from my hardware perspective.

PS. Tower 57's updater thing hits on MorphOS now... that's not nice... here's the log.

Might be a good idea to forward that info to Daytona675x via his email seeing as he's having issues with fixing the server update process as this might offer some idea as to why it's failing from a user's perspective? :-?

NewSense : There is a speaker inside the PS4's controller, this is why Poseidon loads usbaudio.device and hid.device for this controller.
But, there is a lot of audio device, that's true !

All : I tried an old xbox360.class last night because the last version on MorphOS 3.11 doesn't work with the joysensors plugin of FPSE (L2 and R2 buttons were inactives), and it works with the old one!
But I don't try "new" PS4's controller with this "old" xbox360.class. I'll give a try tonight.

[EDIT] No difference for "new" PS4's controller with this old xbox360.class, only less CPU load but still usbaudio and hid.class.[/EDIT]

The new PS4 controller PID was added already, so it'll work with 3.12.

Just got an interim message from Daytona675x, that he is still aware the MorphOS built-in game update option still needs fixing/resolving with his server, but that he's very busy at the moment, but it's still on his TO-DO list - not forgotten.

If you own the game and cannot get the update(s), as is likely to be the case until he fixes it, then send him a message to the email address in the game files that he requests any issues be reported to, and he will likely get back to you with a manual update file(s). 8-)

[EDIT] - UPDATE - message to me from Daytona675x -> "fixed it :) The updater works again on all my systems.
Reason was that the new server / PHP setup sends a slightly different HTTP header than my old setup which in turn triggered a stupid crash bug in the updater's HTTP code :P Once I found the cause the remote-"fix" was easy: I edited my server scripts to manipulate the HTTP header to make it updater-friendly again."

The last update for MorphOS / Amiga systems I believe is game release 19.44 (Amiga Ver. 12), so if you haven't got that version then you should be able to update to it simply by being online and launching the main game executable, for it to find any required update you need. 8-)

    Thanks Daniel aka Daytona675x

Me neither, and I wonder if there was an announcement a month ago as I can't remember to have seen any.

Just played a few rounds. As far as I can tell this is the version (+ some improvements) which has been demoed on Gamescom 2019 on Tabor/X5000 on OS4.

Runs very well and all mission types are fully playable. I have some visual glitches in the dogfight missions, but this may be the Radeon X1600 Pro in my G5... Have to check if I see this on my PowerBook G4 too.

Visual glitches are fixed. Some other minor glitches are being worked on.

Yo, I have severe sound distortion on Wings. This has happened on an older wings demo as well. Sound is low and seems like it has no bass but only tremble and high frequencies on 1.000%. I am on MorphOS 3.13 with Sound Blaster PCI.

Other than that, game plays much smoother :)
