    System requirements
    Minimum:
    550MHz CPU
    128MB RAM
OpenGL 1.3 compatible graphics card with 32MB RAM.
    Recommended:
    800MHz CPU
    256MB RAM
OpenGL 1.3 compatible graphics card with 64MB RAM.

If MorphOS fullfill these specs, would someone port it? MorphOS needs a car racing game, so if someone that knows coding and port of Open Source could port this to MorphOS, would be very happy...

I appreciate a good racing game, too. Once upon a time, I really enjoyed Gran Tourismo 2 on FPSE. It was quite playable, unfortunately without Joypad support.

Atleast it would be nice to have some game that got multiplayer support and worked over the net, so many Morphians could challenge each other :) Dynamite was fun, but to have a racing game connecting everything is important too I think.

In that case, this is the perfect opportunity for you to learn some coding and port the game yourself :)

    @Korni:

I'm playing it quite often (on MorphOS), but only for myself.

i didn't say anything like that. I was just reacting to the "MorphOS NEEDS a car racing game". Like there isn't any.

Torcs is cool, ugly but cool.

Why not make a vector alike racing game with multiplayer support. Then even A500 users could join or even standard A1200 :) Stunt Driver worked nicely on Classic Amigas. How about this idea? Or is it very hard to make vector alike graphics?

Hehe, so you made yourself home after Kindergarden :))))

Just to let you know, there's already a pretty functional test version on my site. You need the data files from the windows version (if there's a non-windows data package with identical layout/content, please let me know.) Also make sure to turn down your speaker, because the menu music is still broken. For systems with little VRAM it's a good idea to lower the resolution, and the texture size. 640x480 with 256 texture size worked for me on my 32 meg mini.

Hi BSzilli, I downloaded all the files, but I was stopped by missing config/screen.xml file. Any description of the required xml file?

    Thanks in advance,
    Martin.

Try to run windows version first and then copy all files to MorphOS. If you cannot run windows version just gimme a shout - i will upload config files somewhere.

    GfParmReadFile: Openning "config/screen.xml" (0x22f9fd00)
    Visual Properties Report
    ------------------------
    Compatibility mode, properties unknown.
    Error, couldn't open window

but i thought it is because i run it on powerbook. Anyway i think i wil not get too far because no 3d driver yet for pb.

pampers, please put it somewhere (perhaps whole config drawer, who knows, what else will be needed from there?)

    Thanks in advance,
    Martin.

I can also upload an archive with the data files if necessary. I have them packed in somewhere, because I had to transfer them from my windows install too.

edit: I uploaded the data files from a clean windows install.

Since the port is progressing well, I'd like to know, if you would be interested in a Speed Dreams port as a bonus? It still shares some code with TORCS, but it has better graphics, and higher system requirements.
