I always used a usb memorystick formatted with fat32 to transfer files from a XP laptop to my pegasos2.
This filesystem however seems not to be able too handle files as big as .iso from dvd 4.3 GB.
Only way to get it onto the stick from the xp machine is format it too ntfs.
Morphos seems not to be able too handle the usb stick after the filesystem change.
Doesn't copy the file or delete it ....
Is there a ntfs filesystem which can handle all actions? I Mean reda, write, delete, format?
    Powerbook 5,4 1.5GHz 1.5GB ram

Only backward with ntfs-3g: you can read it, but cannot write.
    MorphOS PowerBook G4 1,67GHz, 2GB Ram, 250GBHdd, ATI 9700/128MB
    Morphos G5 2,7GHz, 8GB Ram, 500GB Hdd, ATi Passive cooled 9800 PRO/128MB

    NTFS-3G does have write support.

I see FUSE is being ported, will it bring full NTFS read and write or EXT4
I wanted one shared DATA partition between Linux and MOS so no middle net transfer or USB sticks, please

FUSE is already ported, and NTFS-3G as well (with write support).

There's also Ext2/3 support with write support since quite some time in MorphOS.

Ok, i have a wd 2TB external HDD drive (3,5" modell) It is NTFS, i can R/W under windows and OSX but Morphos says cannot write on it. Same goes if i want to make a folder on it. I create an another partition it (FAT32) which has no problem with R/W under MOS.
Anyway Earlier (maybe MOS 3.1) i try a 4GB stick with the same result. NOW i can write on it.

You probably failed to install it properly. You need to edit mount preferences in system settings like specified in readme or the internal NTFS file system will still be used, which cannot write.

The built-in NTFS filesystem only supports reading.
Installing NTFS-3G will give you read and write.
Note: installation is not just copying the filesystem
to L:.. see the readme file.

    @Fab,Geit and Leif:

Guys, thanks for the tip. I used grunch and it tells that ntfs 3g installed. That's why i thought MOS cannot write on NTFS volumes. Now after edited the filesystem.conf everything works fine.

    Thanks again!
