Fans of high quality audio can now try out the flac.player for AmiNetRadio. The decoder is linked against the latest public libFLAC and supports 16bit stereo files. Song info metadata is supported.

The plugin is available in two flavors: for AltiVec and non-AltiVec CPUs. Requires MorphOS 2.1.

    The FLAC player uses 64bit DOS API - available from MorphOS 2.0 and system's built-in UCS4 ->ANSI conversion - available from MorphOS 2.1.

    Cool! I downloaded a collection of KLF singles the other day (on my Windows laptop), and this was the first time I ever encountered this format, and then I wondered if MorphOS could play them as well. Well I guess it can now! :-)

    MorphOS could already play it before, because MPlayer supports the FLAC-format among many other audio-formats :)

    maybe someone should fix ANR for MorphOS2.x, cause it crashes here often since i changed to MorphOS2.x
    Sometimes it stops playing and the task just freezes...
