Gallerius 2.1 is now available for download.
This release fixes a few small bugs, and contain new color management feautures.
You can download program from here.

    It's a shame the news article didn't explain what Gallerius does or who would be interested in it.

    After looking around I found this the announcement of Gallerius 2.0 which says it is a "simple HTML gallery generator". A bit more information would be welcome.

    You're right. It should contain at least one short sentence about what is Gallerius for.
