It looks nice.. How does mouse tracking work? Does it enable one to click on hyperlinks and scroll the pages with the wheel in applications such as Links? (i did not get this to work..) Also the hotkeys-list would not be saved. Did I do something wrong? ;)

Big thanks Jaca! I'm glad to see the final version open, running, and available. This project has been more helpful than what is immediately obvious, it has been the first "success story" of the bounty system, and has been utilized to help MorphZone development too.

I've still suffered from on and off again internet/phone, but I am optimistic that my DSL should be back in order relatively soon. (Katrina related, but I don't consider my family to be victims as there has been little else to complain about.)

Just downloaded SSHCON and connect to Peg-LINUX box.

I run into two problems:

a) top output looked borked.
Between every line was a blank line.

b) In VI on Linux the cursoe keys and the page up/down did not work.

Should the above items work,
Or is my MOS system jsut messed ?


Any hint for getting this working are higly appreciated

Very nice, but why developing two branchs? Why not developing only SSHCON and put all that MUICON efforts into SSHCON? Think of it as an all-in-one thing.

What about built-in into MorphOS 1.5? :)

firstly I thought that it was a SSH console to use remotely MorphOS from work, so MOS devs can continue working on MOS in their jobs while they appear to be working on other stuff

Just saw that there was a new MUICON release and as it seems it still lacks support for basic keywords like AUTO CLOSE and INACTIVE, although it was reported "ages" ago.

Any chance that something this simple will be added in the next 2 years or do we need to set up a bounty now to even get basic features added/completed?

Mouse tracking is a mode that's enabled by the remote application - mc or elinks for example. Clicking on hyperlinks works when you have OpenURL installed.

Why two branches? Because it would be pretty stupid to have a serverbook in a console and because it would be pretty stupid to have command history or filename completion in an SSH application.

I see no reason why SSHCON should be built into 1.5. MUICON is a different matter though.

AUTO/CLOSE functionality is on by default, no need for a keyword. INACTIVE is already implemented in the current development tree. The 50.21u version is almost 100% the same with the one released last December.

How about adding support for normal telnet sessions as well?
I really miss a native telnet-client for MorphOS (being forced to used
AmiTCP's "napsaterm" in 68k emulation at the moment).

BTW, when trying to connect to telnet port 23 with sshCON, the
programs hangs forever and you cannot disconnect.
