Archive : : Some Easter Bunny discovered MorphOS 1.4.4
Posted By: MorphOS_Team. on 2005/3/28 1:42:33
To all MorphOS users

Celebrating the 6th anniversary of MorphOS, version 1.4.4 is now available. This is hopefully the last bugfix update before the next full release, and solves many bugs and problems with the previous releases.

Please note that the update is currently only available to users who have registered themselves. Due to circumstances beyond our control, the MorphOS support site is currently down. Users who have not yet registered will have to wait for a few days while a new registration system is prepared. A new announcement will be made when it is ready. The support mailinglist will also be restored shortly, please have some patience.

Fixes in the 1.4.4 release include support for large harddrives, ability to read DVDs in their entirety, important bug fixes to SFS, audio, 68k emulation, network card drivers and many other things. See releasenotes for more information.

I dont wanna read between the lines but I will.. "before the next full release" ...could mean 1.5 with some great features? That would be way cool!

This is really great. Especially I like the quick
reaction to the downtime of the ml. I already feared
we would sit here for another month ;-)

Both this release and the news item about it (the first real positive news about MorphOS in a very long time of misery) was extremely welcome! :-)

New hope was suddenly injected into my veins, and I'm surprized how easily that happened! ;-)

    A BIG THANK YOU! :-D

I'm really glad that "Mount" tool fixed to understand launching from the icon. It was proposed for unmorphos, but it's good that i don't have to bother about these fixes and proceed to more important things.
"Assign" still has one little bug, so unmorphos continues doing its job. :-D
