#AmigaZeux Mansion, - April 37, 2004.

UPDATE!
A quick update of ANR has been released that fixes several bugs on both MorphOS and Classic systems: Get It (Note: the main ANR v.3 archive now contains the bugfix as well.)
/UPDATE

#amigazeux and the AmiNetRadio development team are extremely pleased and relieved and excited to announce that after nearly 9 months of painstaking development the successor of ANRG2, AmiNetRadio Generation 3 Party-Pack Non-Developer Post-release, has gone gold and has been sent to the webspace Friday, April 37, 2004.

The What's New Page.
Or, use "ReadMore" for more FABULOUS links!

The AmiNetRadio Non-Developer Post-Release consists of a current snapshot of AmiNetRadio Generation 3 Party-Pack for the MorphOS platform with a straightforward installation guide in English (aka. "Just extract the friggin' thing"), as well as the AmiNetRadio GUIs.

The AminetRadio 3 Party Pack with new and exciting concepts such as mouse control will allow near effortless migration of existing mp3, shoutcast, ogg and modules, as well as the creation of altogether new playlist content.

The AmiNetRadio Generation 3 Party-Pack comprises the following material:

* Advanced AmiNetRadio human-machine interface will allow new and exciting advanced concepts such as mouse and keyboard control;

* Allows effortless migration of existing mp3, shoutcast, ogg, AHX, ProTracker, Future Composer, CDDA and SoundMon files;

* No installer for revolutionary easy and painless installation;

* Uses Extract the Archive Where You Want and Drag the Folder Anywhere Technology (TM);

* Example plugins and GUI skins;

* Source that's not available even if you ask nicely, because its not GPL.

Users will be able to download their copy at a long-time-ago-launched official website which will also offer ANRG3PP enhanced and related content for download, using the HTTP protocol.

#amigazeux and the AmiNetRadio development and beta-testing teams wish to thank everyone who leeched a copy of the betas but didn't return bug reports, without whom it wouldn't have been possible to dedicate this release to MorphOS.

    Did you check out the skin-page yet?

    Or do you want full WB screenshots? Well in that case you must wait for new user-ambient-screenshots! :-)

    Very nice, but... I've noticed a few bugs with the playlist though =/

    Hanging when you have pushed scan on a some files a couple of times.

    And the search button doesn't work at all?

    And it displays just the filename in Name instead of the song name, and the Artist field is empty on every song, so obviously there's something wrong with the scan function.

    I've asked another guy to submit all these to the bugtracker of course, just wanted to see if more people have these problems?

    Apart from that, it's a great program! =)

    That is probably caused by the vorbisfile.library taking an mp3 as an ogg and screwing up, I probably have to add a check for #?.ogg there.

    Fixed.

    I'll have to take that back. The crashes were caused by the player missing to reset a variable.

    If you guys do any sort of "quick update" let me know, and I'll edit it the news-item (and bump it back up to the top).

    Update:

    Just when you thought we alienated the whole AmigaOS scene, we go one step further and release a quick update for AmiNetRadio for your personal pleasure. This release fixes some serious issues with the previous version, includes one new 68k library and crashes a lot less. Have fun.

    Very cool! I love ANR and its getting better all the time! Its my prefered music player now. I love the comment about MOS being the future of the Amiga in the readme. ITs true and I think this makes owning a Pegasos a true joy!

    Who is the demigod whom I have to thank this? This is absolutely awesome, and I'm stunned. It's far better than my darest expectations. Add SID support and I'll be forever in your debt :-) Truly AWESOME! That's what I call an update!!!

    And entering into "nothing is good enough" mode: I know it's not easy but WinAmp3 skin support would be the topping on the cake :-) Anyway, it's already stunning :-)

    Velcro_SP:

    I believe in this context, the group #AmigaZeux intended "Gone Gold" as a joke.

    @Question who to thank: check out the about box from ANR's titlebar menu.

    I just put this on my peg and it looks very nice!

    I'm slightly confused by the version number, which reads:
    2.1321 (05.05.04)

    isn't this a lower number than the previous one? Well, who cares.
    also, I saw that funny iPOD skin on the site. How does that work? it doesn't seem to come with docs and even if i put it in the AmiNetRadio dir, it doesn't get read. does it need one of those "iPod.gui" files????

    *edit*
    never mind, a friend told me to put the files in the skinNG dir. works fine
    *i am a dope*

    I also tried it on my WinUAE and it does seem to work. I've always had problems with the audio on that emulation, so once in a while I get one of those "blue screen of death" nonsense things. but that's windows for you. fah.
    I don't use my emulation for audio, anyway. I'd mostly be interested in seeing what it looks like if i get time to make some skins.

    thanks, guys, nice work!
