MLdonkey is a multi-platform multi-networks peer-to-peer client. Originally, it was the first open-source client to access the eDonkey network. The protocol was 'reverse-engeneered' using an efficient protocol sniffer, Pandora .
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. When i first came to morphzone i told people we need this port and everyone told me it was imposible since it was written in objective calm. now who is laughing hahahaha. ok now that that is behind me hehe. this is great great news. is just the command line core or does it have a graphical front end?
:edit: zuul hu? its ok but that sounds like they took the easy way out on that one it is the easyest port and not the best interface. but i am not complaining belive me i am thrilled. thank you guys soooooo much

WOOOHOOO This is GREAT. A modern computer needs file sharing judging for the worldwide popularity of it. I'm not the familiar with how it works and what to do and what to avoid out there. It would be really great if someone would post up some tips/pointers as well as some sort of short tutorial or something. Also some general info about p2p and what it can do, does do would be cool...

I own Hollywood but sadly haven't had time to play or study it.. was just wondering if a basic gui could be done with it. On the other hand maybe it's just as much work as to make a MUI gui for it :)
Well i have to play with it, and i have to find out how a GUI must communicate with mlnet, but if it's not to hard, i surely want to make a MUI-GUI for it.
@felix: communication should not be too difficult. If you want to abstract it u can use the telnet interface (like zuul it does). But you also could have a look to the GUI API (heh... maybe that's the same, i didn't checked that ;).
Howdy, all. I'm one of the primary Zuul devs, and wanted to say thanks for bundling our software into MorphOS. Way cool!
I was curious about what changes were made to get it to play nicely with Amiga browsers... It'd be great to get that stuff committed into the mainline code so it doesn't get too fragmented or anything. If someone would like to fill me in, that'd be great. Or not. Up to you. :P
hey thanks for showing interest its awsome. will you officialy suport MorphOS in your next release? i have to say the first time i used zuul a few months ago i was not impressed but i download it today (a newer version) and i really like it keep up the good work. can someone help him though i would but i don;t have the naswers.

Amiga browsers are a few gens behind. Basically don't count on javascript, CSS, or XHTML tags. This should be fixed in the future, but for now assume that you are dealing with 1995 web browsers.

You mean in Zuul? I'd certainly like to. I'm all for portability and all that. If the changes were just fiddling around with a theme to get it to work properly in an "older" browser, that would be trivial to merge in; just have another theme available and call it "amiga" or whatever... If there's other code changes it should be possible to get them integrated somehow, too.
If there were massive changes that needed done, I could always just start a branch of the project and have a couple of different releases out there. It should be pretty easy to keep the two up-to-date if they're both in CVS.
