Posted By: jPV. on 2019/4/2 16:14:58
RNORadio is a GUI based internet radio player program for MP3 streams, and it's made with Hollywood. The actual streaming and playback is based on the CgmRadio program, but RNORadio still works as a stand-alone program with no dependencies.

RNORadio released

Please visit its homepage for more information, screenshots, and download links.

Features:

- Two GUI options: MUI or custom skin(s)

If you refer to AmiNetRadio, that program always crashes on my systems no matter what I try to do, so had to do my own version :P

I hope Gelb or Kenny aren't watching....RNORadio is pretty damn good! :-)

    /me hides

More great Hollywood stuff from jPV :bloons:

@ jPV - Would you consider a feature of being able to save a stream, as an MP3 file, at will, as an option for a future release? ;-)

@ Igracki - as jPV already said, it would be nice to have 2 options for listening to the radio on MorphOS, so I'd really like to see your interpretation of a "real-world" Screenbar add-on. 8-)

I just tried to add the recording feature to my WebRadio.sbar, and what should I say it works!

I opened the stream a second time, because I don't know how to connect two outputs to a reggae stream.buffer!?
    Is that even possible?

Reggae is sooo cool, I wish there were more examples.

Well... we have Transfer on MorphOS and I'm happy with DOpusFTP on 68k (and MorphOS), so I myself don't have much need for it, but of course there would be some need for SFTP capable FTP client on 68k at least. And it seems that those miserable people who don't use Magellan are in a bad situation :) I don't know... I have some interest to see how it could be made, but I also have some more important (for me) projects still ongoing.

Shoutcast license agreement prohibits recording any content...

Recording internet streams is kinda pointless anyway. The stations know you can do it so they often randomly stagger the ID tags in the stream. So if you get mp3s that don't have jingles or announcements over them, then there's a good chance they'll be missing the start or have twenty seconds of another piece of music recorded at the end. Randomly.
