    Nice program! Found the first bug: you can't change where to put it.

    If you could make a program that downloads and watch Youtube videos in Ambient I would make a nice donation ;-)

    ahh, the only thing I didn't test in the screenbar... I assume you mean move the position in the screenbar itself ?
    I'll will fix this after santa has done his job tomorrow =)

    About that YT tool, I actually had one nearly finished but then google changed their API and now I need to redo a lot of it to make it happen =(...

    I think that it would be much more useful if you could integrate it somehow with Grunch which is more complete but lacks an .sbar.

    Also, does it take info from rss feeds? If so, how about making it like a news.sbar whereas the user could list/add feeds from news sites (instead of morphos files, where we can check with either Grunch or OWB) of his choice and display them on the screenbar (with a moving horizontal scrolling bar, similar to Jukebox)? Just some ideas and wishful thinking here, since I miss such functionality on the .sbar modules :)

    Merry Christmas!

    Thanks, I'll see if that is possible as it is now. If parses the RSS flow from MorphOS-files and just shows it but I'll see if that would be possible.

    @Cool_amigaN

    The idea of having such feature in Grunch would be nice for sure. I do know for sure that Geit is the man doing such feature himself if he think it's needed =) I don't think many have done more sbar-modules than him so I assume this would be a piece of cake feature for him.

    Yes, it takes the info from an RSS-feed (except the check for new MorphOS releases) and I did think to make it more generic to start with but then again I wanted to achive my goal to release something more this year and settled for a tool like this.
    I like the idea of an RSS-reader as you mention and since most of the work is allready in place, maybe that will be my next project ;-P

    Hi Stefan, and a Happy Christmas to all here, and there. :bloons:

    I installed the Recent Files sbar using the included installer, but as soon as I reset, as a warm or cold reboot, on my MacMini I find that the Recent Files screenbar has become inactive again, so there must be some small part of the module that needs fixing I suppose.

    The screenbar module is still shown in the modules list, it just doesn't remain active, which all the others are, once you have 'ticked' the box. So that's just a little bit weird.

    I like the ideas of those mentioned above, and hope some or all can be implemented, after you've had a good festive meal or two. ;-)

    @Develin,

    I tried this new star upon its release before yesterday. Unfortunately I had problems with it and I had to remove it.

    First it does not appear after a reboot. Then it is not possible to change position and finally wanting to change or restore settings screen mode with the elephant sbar to run Stellarium, or leaving it, all other sbar found themselves frozen.

    @NewSense & Brumiga

    Sorry for releasing a module with not correct behaviour =(
    I was a little stressed during this season so I had very limited time to finish it.
    I've created a new beta of nextcomming release if you would like to try :

    http://www.onyxsoft.se/stefan/beta/recentfiles.lha

    This new version has some cosmetical changes apart from the removed bug.
    Please let me know if this works as intended

    Hi Stefan,

    I tried the Beta, and was just about to report back to you, when I realised you'd uploaded v1.1. Anyway, unfortunately that initial Beta makes no difference to the RecentFiles.sbar becoming inactive once a reset had been done, in fact it also goes inactive when I do a Rescan of the sbar modules. All the other modules I have installed on my Mac Mini are recognised after the Rescan apart from RecentFiles, which I have to make active again, it seems each time I reboot/reset/restart/initial cold start-up.

    The new version 1.1 sadly also suffers from this same issue, so the problem of it going inactive is still not fixed.

    I don't know whether you are using some feature due to become valid with the MOS 3.10 release, but it doesn't work as you intended it to with MOS 3.9. :-( . . . as yet.

    Hmm, I suspect that maybe the old sbar have broken the settingsfile.
    Can you try to backup and remove ENV(ARC):MUI/SCREENMANAGER.cfg if that helps.
    I don't use any new feature that havn't been release in public in this project so it should work.

    Hi Stefan (AKA Develin), OK deleting the MUIScreenmanager.cfg from env-archive and restarting my system allowed me to setup my screenbar options again, and after that the RecentFiles.sbar seems to be working as you intended. 8-D

    So, that issue seems to be fixed now, but have you got any spare time to work on those suggestions by other users, as yet?

    Good to know that this workaround fixed the issue, I will re-write most of the code for next release due to how the screenbar modules operates.
    It will take some time until this is finished so please be patient for next release =)

    I just noticed that when I have the Jukebox screenbar active, which only happens when I have Jukebox running, after a rescan of the screenbar it is made inactive, the 'tick' is removed after the rescan, which only seems to happen when RecentFiles is active, so that seems to be another issue that needs fixing as well.

    I can re-activate the jukebox screenbar after the refresh, and get it visible again, but I am sure you need to know about this odd behaviour that RecentFiles is causing while you are developing it. ;-)
