Posted By: Fab. on 2013/4/5 11:45:16
Odyssey 1.20 has been released. Amongst its changes:

- Updated to WebKit r144529 (March 2013). Amongst many other fixes, it cures an issue with some asp sites.
- Added copy image URL location in image contextmenu.
- Now uses MorphOS cairo/pixman/fontconfig shared libraries.
- Plugins are now expected to have version 2 or later.
- With spellchecker.library 50.1+ (MorphOS 3.2+), word learning feature is now functional.
- More bugfixes in websockets handling.
- Don't crash when HTML5 desktop notifications are invoked.

A new version of swfdec has been released as well, to support Odyssey using cairo shared library. As a bonus, it should be a bit faster than before. The audio routine has also been reworked, and requires latest Reggae to work.

Will Odyssey from now on stick to Webkit or move to Blink?

As far as I understand one of the reasons to fork webkit
is to interlink Blink more with Googles V8 JavaScript Engine (and drop JavaScriptCore Support). But there is no PPC Version of V8.

True. That said, there is a recent project started by Servergy within the scope of their PowerLinux initiative to port V8 to Power Architecture:

Fab, can we have a distict current tab identifier? It gets confusing at times when multiple tabs are open (20+) . A simple color hi-lite change fix like when the pointer is on it would do. thanks ;-)

Just configure your Mui theme to do it. There's a distinct setting for active and inactive tabs.

Is it possible to allow a new TAB to be opened adjacent to the currently active one, rather than the newly requested TAB opening at the very end of the row of TABs?

Just got an invite to the new Google Maps. Sadly, it's not fully working and ends in failure most times.
