NoWinED is a MUI-based TextEditor for all Amiga flavours. With this version NoWinED supports tab characters, many bugs are now fixed, read changelog for detailed changes...

This is first version developed with MorphOS so thanks to all friends which have donated my pb, this is for you :-)

It is worth noting that uni.library and codesets.library duplicate functionality which is inside MorphOS already.

First of all, to my best knowledge, codesets.library isn't used at all, albeit its header file are still bundled with the source codes.
Next, my uni.library is maybe today unnecessary for MorphOS but uni.library did already exist when there was no support for UTF in MorphOS at all (2007) - and because NoWinED is also available for other platforms where the OS itself doesn't offer any UTF basics, either iconv, codesets.library or uni.library must be used there, although transcoding is just a waste-product which arose during programming the primitives of uni.library (so, for the sake of completeness, one should choose the OS functions, or for other platforms, those by codesets offered functions if he is only interested in transcoding).
Today, ShInKurO could of course, use the OS for those simple tasks that must be carried out in order to achieve UTF support, but in 2008/2009 (NoWinED's birth) there wasn't any UTF support in MorphOS.

Next to nothing, I like the functionality of ShInKurO's text editor and use it quite regularly. :)

    Good job, ShInKurO!

MorphOS 2.0 released in 2008 did have UTF-8 and UCS4 support already (keymaps and locale.library) but there is of course that other platforms dont have it and 2.0 was released relatively late considering NoWinEd development.
