Drivers : : Envy24HT AHI driver released
Posted By: DaveAE. on 2010/8/21 16:17:27
In preparation of the beta release of Audio Evolution 4 for MorphOS, I have ported my Envy24HT AHI driver to MorphOS! It supports the following cards: Terratec Aureon Sky/Space, Phase 22/28, M-Audio Revolution 5.1/7.1 and ESI Juli@.

Please visit http://www.audio-evolution.com/drivers_mos for more information.

Special thanks to Frank Mariak for his continuous support for getting my PowerMac working, my gfx card(s) and with debugging my Envy24HT driver!

    @magnetic:
    PCI sound cards do not need firmware support, as they don't have a BIOS, like the graphics or IDE/SCSI cards. All initialization is done by the driver itself, on every OS. Hence yes, these should work fine (in theory) in a Pegasos1/2.

    Why then did the dev for the os4 drivers for the Radeon X1600 pci cards tell me that it wouldnt work on peg due to OF init or so?

    Radeons are graphic cards, and newer PCI graphics cards are likely to be equipped with a PCIe <> PCI bridge that could perhaps cause problems.
