I still remember the day v0.1 was released (well, the day after actually) and that was the day I decided where I'd want go in terms of Amiga computing. So far, my decision has been proven right by the tremendous work the Team has put into this wonderful achievement going by the name of MorphOS :-)

    > I though we gonna get MorphOS for PowerBooks 2day for the anniversary ;)

At least PowerMac G4 support could have been released today ;-)

Edit: Improved the wording thanks to hint by amigadave.
    Edit2: Fixed version number.

Congratulations to all MorphOS Development Team members!

10 years is a significant achievement and surpasses the number of years Commodore was actively working on the Amiga after it's release in 1985 (just barely).

    @Andreas,

A better choice of words in English, at least from a native English speaker's point of view, would be "So far," instead of the words "Until now," that you used. Until now confers a change of opinion or attitude, such as "until now, I have been happy". Which to a native English speaker, at least one from the USA would mean "I was happy, now I am not". Which is not the impression I think you wanted to convey.

And again, congratulations to all MorphOS developers.

Who would have thought ten years ago, during a rather dire period of Amiga history, that this operating system would have had such a long run?

And you guys are still improving it. Not only congratulations, but thanks!

0.2 wasn't "First Public MorphOS Release"

bigfoot "The MorphOS version numbers for the public relases were 0.1, 0.2 and 0.4"

But thats not what Andreas said, he just told us, that he *remembers* that particular day when MorphOS 0.2 was released, he did not claim it was the first Version beeing released.

Was almost the same for me btw, actually it was version 0.4, the first release i was able to bootstrap on my A4k. At first glance I thought, "uh thats it? Just my usual Amiga OS Setup? Then I realized that I run fully PPC........

    Congratulations MorphOS :bloons:

As user GGG commented on MorphOS 2.4 release article on engadget, "those OS developers really have way too much time on theirs hands, they should go do something more productive" :-D

Just kidding, of course (I hope he was too), just wanted for everyone else have a laugh at that classic bit of trolling (I hope...) regarding the subject ;-)

Congratulations on this milestome, MorphOS is a very worthy Amiga OS, and one that needs promoting outside of our community. Here is to another 10 years.

Thanks, I stand corrected. Seems I'm not the only one remembering it wrong:

True. But that's what I meant nevertheless. I was indeed referring to the 1st public beta. And it seems I managed to get the version number wrong :-)

A bit late on my part, but I didn't want to miss the opportunity to say a big THANK YOU to all the MorphOS Team people. This is a special birthday, in which both creators and users can rejoice!

Warm congratulations to everyone, and also to this very MorphZone web site. Without it, I'm sure things wouldn't be the same.
