looks really promising!
i've tried this release, its looks much better than expected! i love the music and the 16bit style sounds a lot!
however i was unable to kill no enemies at all. those little blue bastard just kill me in 5 secs whatever i do (tried to run towards to them, bump, then run away from them, heal, again bump-run-heal, then i just died...) i've read the manual but...
anyway i like it, its an oldschool manga style rpg that amiga never had (mabye except speries of legacy), very consol-like:)

maybe in the future versions you could change the font, i think its not fit to the style of the game. just my opinion.

A few tips:
Before you try to attack the slimes buy either a sword or armor and equip it. Try to hit enemies as far off-center (along the edges) as possible to gain an advantage. Once you get a level-up it should become a little easier and you can save some gold for another sword/armor or shield upgrade too. Save the game progress between killing each enemy if it's too hard starting out. ;)

@realstar: of course i've bought a darn sword before going to attack tha blu bastardz! i even equipped it before - how clever am i?:)

Simply run towards them. Just don't hit them head-on, instead go offset a bit...
