I thought it was a joke because of the fishes in bbrv's post reminding me of april fools.

But we should know more at the AmiWest (and also get MOS 1.4 and the Superbundle for free :).

I would already be happy if the peg II was really released in september 2003 :)

... however I wonder how Genesi hopes to make money with so few units sold of each model, the exchange offers etc etc... They're building something in the long run of course, but how long will they be able to afford it...

    That is good news!

The PPC 970 can be the key to proove to the outside world that Pegasos is a reall modern and evolving alternative platform.

However I have to agree with what Mahen wrote:

I just hope Genesi can materialise their dreams and Pegasos II & III does not end like the BoXeR.

Having said that, I still want to get the Pegasos II as much as I did and before the Pegasos III anouncement!

Can please one clear me up something though about the Pegasos II?

    1. Will the Pegasos II come with a G3 or G4 CPU?
    2. If no, will there be a fan-less G4 CPU option?
    3. If yes, the 499 Euro price is for the G3 or for the G4 CPU?

    Thanks very much! :-)
    Go Pegasos! :)

    5. Will there ever be that *kewl* thing called VideoMicrowave (http://www.videomicrowave.com/) on sale?
    Go Pegasos! :)

    Different horses for different courses!

The focus is on the G3 and 970, not the G4. All need to understand that the information we posted yesterday was carefully considered and done intentionally. We have taken a thoughtful position. We hope it is understood and appreciated. Frankly, the Pegasos I with April 2 is a good machine. We are proud of it. Look at what has been accomplished with a few hundred motivated users! In six months we might even be ready for a broad market introduction and be taken seriously by the IT market -- at least the geeks!

You can find the complete post in the thread above.

The G3 Pegasos will be sold for 299 Euros. The G4 will only be available by trade-in of the old G3 plus 200 Euros. The 970 will be sold for more, but much less than a G5 Mac.

Yes, there will be a Pegasos computer as a complete system, but not until the 970 probably. Also, the VideoMicrowave will be a software package and included in its basic form in the SuperBundle.

    Thanks for your interest!

    R&B :-)
