Due to the lack of software it may seem a program with little practical value (althought there sure are a few exclusive titles), but the psychologic impact is awesome. And because of that it's still one of our most important applications.

I'd be curious to how good it emulates? I have OS4 here on the A1. I noticed that if Amiga emulates it's self, it get's into all kind of problems.

It doesn't emulate anything at all, and as such it runs most apps faster than on OS4 (just as WOS/PUP in MorphOS)...

Eh, why not just use a native MorphOS version instead (and if no-one compiled latest, just do it yourself (probably just configure&&make anyway))?

Do you mean that MOS is usually faster than OS4 ?

@people who tried the new OS4Emu: does it run SDL-based apps ?

    Yes it does

Was funny to try out Residual, although it is completly useless actually and
I understand why there is no "own" MorphOS Version (Which would probably faster
as I guess it would then also support HW3D Rendering, but still useless, save/load
not possible, not completable, this is simply the nature of the residual project beeing
in a very early stage) Wideland e.g. is also running but seemed to be a bit
unstable. And due the OS 4.0 SDL Implementation (still) beeing static, you don't have
the features powersdl provides. But overall OS4.emu is now a bit more usefull (although it
still is really hard to find stuff which exists on OS 4.0 but not on MorphOS, does actually work
in OS 4.0 emu *and* is actually worth the hassle. (And no even FPSE Port isn't worth it,
Personally I don't want to play PS Games without beeing able to use a Joypad.)
But it is still a nice proof of concept.

SDL stuff from 2006 do run, older stuff built before 2006 usually not.

    @hooligan

I take a look into it.
