    Hello all,

Is there a list of developpers would like hardware to developp for MorphOS ?

Maybe MorphOS users have MorphOS hardware but don't use them.

I propose to do a public list of donators (pseudo and hardware to give) and a public list of developpers would like to developp for MorphOS.

You can send me info on papiosaur2 @ hotmail.fr

I will do a text file available via meta-morphos.org

Donators say me what config want to give to the developper of their choice and after i remove hardware to donate and developper of the list.

The Developper will send money for shipping to the donator.

We've actually been doing this for awhile, but a centralized listing of developers would be great.

I think MorphOS developers already have MorphOS machine ;)

But is there any Amiga developer who could port his existing somewhat decent application to MorphOS and improve it?

I remember that Deron Katzmaier (Pagestream) said, that he has big troubles with MOS-Version (MUI) of pagestream because he does'nt own a MOS-System to test......
And afaik the guy who is coding CinamonWriter said, that he would port it to MOS, but he has also no system to test......
    Peg2, 3xPowerMac G5, 2xPowerbookG4, 2x MacMiniG4, Efika (again), A3000T and life is never boring.....

The CinnamonWriter guy has a Mac-mini silent upgrade on the way to him but I`m not giving the Pagestream guy any money.

At least that message doesn't contain anything like that.

Still might be worth offering him the system.
Especially as it has an OS license.

BTW - Fraggle, are you going to get an OS key for the Mac Mini you're shipping?

I offered but he felt it was unecessary, at least for now - as far as I know he primarily develops on OS4.

I was thinking of selling my 1.5GHz G4 MacMini w/registered MorphOS3.1 installed on it, but if the "RIGHT" developer came along who needed a MorphOS3.x computer to port their software to MorphOS, I would donate this system to them with the condition that if they ever get their own MorphOS compatible computer, or stop developing software for MorphOS, they must return the system, so I can then pass it on to another programmer.

I think it would be better to set this up as a loaner program, where the programmers borrowing these MorphOS computers intended to increase development of MorphOS software would be required to return them so another programmer could use them. I think this is how Trevor has been loaning out OS4.x computers to developers for the past few years.

Can we set up your list that way Papiosaur, and include a written statement that explains these computers are for loan for the purpose of developing software for MorphOS and not only for the personal use of the programmers requesting to borrow them?

That is my suggestion anyway. If you disagree, I will set up a separate list for loaner computers for this purpose.
