    I need 2-pane file manager.
I've installed Directory Opus 4 from Aminet, but when I launch it I got message:
'Need version 1 of popmenu.library and version 1 of xadmaster.library'.
Where do I get it and how to install? xadmaster seems to be shareware.
    Any alternative?

It seems xadmaster isn't shareware anymore:
    http://morphos.lukysoft.cz/vypis.php?hledat=xadmaster
To install it, there is an install tool and even the included Amigaguide file should be useful (for a manual installation).
You can give a look to FileMasterPPC too:

Yes, it was made open source 7.5 years ago.

    > To install it, there is an install tool

The XAD system is part of MorphOS since MorphOS 2.0:

    Installed FileMaster.
'No bgui.library v41 or better found'

    I miss Debian's apt-get... :-(

XAD is already part of MorphOS, no need to install. For popupmenu.library:

So you have now two XAD installations. Nice ;-)

    pmlib installed, dopus works.
I didn't know I can (should?) install 68k amiga libraries on Morphos!
    Thanks again.

    By the way:
Apart from (outdated) Pegasos Book, is there any MOS handbook/manual?
I'm new here and I feel confused and lost.
I would like to read some documentation, tips, tricks, kbd shortcuts etc.

I doubt that the XAD version or the BGUI version you installed are PPC native ;-) Anyway, I advice you to read Zylesea's brief introduction to MorphOS:

I like Filer very much, it's a very good filemanager with few requirements, and quite configurable, too.

Yes you can and sometimes need too :). But remember to install all stuff into SYS: and not into MOSSYS: (SYS:MorphOS/)!

You can check if there is already native included version of the library (or any other component) in MOSSYS: and if not, install required one to SYS:. You can create corresponding directory in SYS: if it's missing. Whole MOSSYS: will be removed in the next OS update and installing into SYS: will keep your own modifications after the update.

Only thing you should change in MOSSYS: is to rename old rexxsyslib.library when installing 68k one in the SYS:Libs.

Please don't add to the common misconception that MOSSYS: vs. SYS: has anything to do with native vs. non-native.

    Thanks for advices!
I have just reinstalled the system and installed latest Ultimate Pack. Cool!
There is no 2-pane file manager though.
On first boot I got request to install rexxsyslib.library manually.
Which package should I download? There is plenty of rexx-something packages on aminet

But did you also install ClassAct/ReAction ?

Not that I would do that, not even if you offered me money (unless offcourse it's a lot of money).

I'll stay with DOPus. I will also test Filer and Filemaster. Thanks for replies.
