1.How to change default window view mode (to see 'all files' when I double click on volume or drawer)?
2.When I create new drawer I have choice: with or without icon, that's cool.
But how to add icons to existing drawers?

to add an icon to an existing drawer, just copy a drawer icon .info and rename the .info copied like the name of the drawer

    1. The disk has to have a disk.info (icon) file for such settings to be stored. Then just rmb over, say, window bar and select Snapshot->Window.
    2. Find some random *info file and duplicate (copy) it.
    3. Which bubbles exactly? (where do they appear?) MUI context bubbles are generally configured in MUI Preferences -> Help. Perhaps you disabled them for a certain application only? To change a global setting, open Ambient's menu and select Settings -> MUI (Ambient MUI is just for Ambient).

    @Jacadcaps

Re: 1 - Thanks, I've been looking for a way to so this for ages ;-)

Re: 2 - I've often thought it would be useful to have a RMB context-menu entry for creating icons for multiple drawers (or files).

eg - my music drive has hundreds of directories, all without icons. It would be useful (and intuitive) to be able to just select them all and choose 'create icon' from the RMB context menu.

    1 - How to create disk.info file?
2 -Yes I was doing this way but I have USB disk drive with hundreds (if not thousands) of directories.
3 - Bubbles still showing up as I hover pointer over icons on desktop
In settings>MUI I set bubbles as rectangle, in settings>ambient MUI as comic bubble.
Bubbles show as comic bubbles so it is ambient mui issue, not global mui.
Anyway in both mui's 'quick help' is unchecked. (saved, rebooted, still the same...)

    1) Take any png image (or the deficon for a disk, found in SYS:Prefs/Presets/Deficons/) and rename foo.png to disk.info. Place disk.info in the root of the drive.

    2) I agree, and have the same issue. Really should be able to do this from cli, but haven't got around to it yet.

    3) Reproduced here too - unchecking Settings>MUI>Help "When holding mouse steady for n seconds" and "when pressing x" has no effect - quickhelp still appears when hovering over icons/panels. Also unchecked these items in Settings>Ambient MUI - still no effect.

Bubbles over Ambient icons is determined by Ambient itself, and unrelated to MUI settings.

You can not turn it off. Current Ambient version ignores bubble help setting but in the next version Ambient will respect on/off settings in MUI.
    1 + 1 = 3 with very large values of 1

    Thanks in advance.

There is easier way to add icons to drawers - DOpus 4 has this option:
select the folders, then right-clik on IconInfo.

Why it doesn't work with USB drive? Because it's fat32?
