the MorphOS2.5 iso image boots up and you can choose language and keyboard.
Then CDrom boots into Ambient but then nothing happens anymore.

The Installer-Programm located in WBStartup doesn't start up and also not, when
    clicking on MophOSboot:MorphOS/data/bienvenue/bienvenue.

The is file I downloaded from http://www.morphos-team.net/downloads.html seems to be ok. Also veryfing the CDR after burning shows no error.

What could be the problem here?

    thanks,
    nexus

ok. now updated and MorphOS 2.5 is running. great :)

It seems OWB 1.8 is allready installed with MorphOS2.5, right?

I just wonder because recently, there was a news that new OWB1.8 is out. Or is there a difference?

However, that flash plugin is not included? Where can I get it from?

    Thanks,

MorphOS 2.5 installs fine on PegII, I did a few days ago. Thought about registering it on PegII but chose to buy it for MacMini instead.

It's the no-svg version that's bundled on the install image (good for Efika), and now the full version is available.

The version that comes with MorphOS 2.5 doesn't support SVG. The SVG enabled version can be downloaded from Fab's website.

Edit: Matt_H was faster. Damn ;-)

It's indeed the SVG-enabled version, and it's also required for the MorphOS 1.4 users who'd like to run it, since the binary supplied on 2.5 ISO wouldn't run on 1.4 at all.

Additionally, the standalone 1.8 archive comes with the userscript to fix overlay mode in youtube (couldn't be done for 2.5 ISO, since they broke it just before release).

You mean the MorphOS 1.4 users can't use the nosvg OWB 1.8 version from your website ;-)

No, i mean the MorphOS 1.4 users can't use the particular version on ISO (because of the binary compression). The nosvg version on my site is also usable on 1.4.

Thanks for the explanations and thanks to MorphOS-Team for their great efforts!

However, I think something must have been wrong that the installer didn't pop up after startup. Anyway, now everything is working nicely!

    Another Question:

Is there support for a "Silicon Image PCI Controller SATAII Sil3114" von in MorphOS 2.5 ?

In the features description for MorphOS2.5 is written:

SATA - Added support for SiI3x1x based 2-port PCI cards

Although the description of Sil3114 says "4-port PCI card", it only has 2 interfaces for SATA devices. Therefore, I'm wondering if it can be used with MorphOS 2.5 and how i can check it :-)

    Thanks,

No, SiI3114 doesn't work with MorphOS 2.5. Some future 2.x release might support it, though ...

Forgive me if this question is too naive, but you mean that only 2-port based Sil3x1x chipsets are supported thus 3114 is not, because it's a 4-port one? Which Sil3x1x are 2-ported and supported then? Any idea?

SiI 3512 and 3112, unfortunately that 3x1x info is a bit misleading ....

ah, thx for the clarification. So, if I may, one more question:
    would this work then?
    http://www.xcase.co.uk/2-Port-ESATA-2-Port-SATA-p/expansion-%20hx-431.htm
And if so, ould both e-sata and sata ports be usable at the same time?

    Thx!

Only two ports will be usable, jumper settings on the card probably determine which.
