I think it's time for MorphOS developers to say the truth.

Is MorphOS still developed-supported, or is a dead OS?

Or it is time to jump to AROS or AmigaOS 4.0.

I think it's time for you to realize that this question was asked 1000 times already, and remain unanswered in every forums. However, they did answer this a few times with the fixes and the two MorphOS version released this year. And you'll get an answer soon again. Maybe sooner than you ever expected...

However, it's still free to you to jump on any OS you want, if you're not satisfied with the situation described above. No one stops you.

    @Phantom

Well Chain-Q was a bit harsh .. but he is also to-the-point correct. The issue has been discussed to death and the team has answered the question, as Chain-Q said, by releasing updates. Bringing the same question up once a month won't make 1.5 release any nearer :-)

I would really appreciate when MOS Team would do a comment about new featuers and things like that.
I don't need a release date. With this comment the Dev Team would show us work is going on, they would calm down this situation.

The one thing you're not likely to get is an advance features list. The dev team tends to be a little paranoid about other people finding out what they're working on.

They are far too quiet though, they need to make a bit of noise :yell: if only to let people know they're still alive.

Maybe they were inspired by DEC's "stealth marketing" of the Alpha.

Why not be happy with what we have now,
dont care for any progress and then
sooner or later be surprised by an announcement
    of the MorphOS-Team :-)

Well, I can be happy now as a plain user. But this unclear situation must be frustrating for third party developers. After two or three years we will see which of the three amigalike systems (MorphOS, AmigaOS, AROS) is the right way and has some future. So in my opinion there is no point in writing applications now. Of course it will be very nice if MorphOS Team surprises us with some announcement or even release. But I personally do not believe this happening.

Yeah man, nice to know one of the features
is that we might be able to play a 5 year old
    3D game with MOS 1.5.

Ok that might be a bit sarcastic, i'm however very
interested to play with the new opengl/tinygl libs..

    Gr,
    Felix.

Felix you you made an error... not a 5 year old 3D game... it will be more than 10 years old before 1.5 will be released ;-)

As Krashan said... who is no more working for a dead system, as dead as announcements from the developers :-(
