    Hi all,

Just like to announce that over a 5 month period i have been very busy, personally and programmelly .

Well, just like to announce that im testing my new LIVECD PegxMAC - yep <<<

It consists of MOL 0.70 ,linux booting from a CD so no need to install linux if you just want to run MACOS or OSX.

only a 200mb size, hopefully decrease so we can boot from USB pens (need to look into further).

PegXLin is still being developed, just need more time.

anyway, im going to have a long needed sleep shhhh..

Can we use X11 stuff as well: KDE/Gnome,... (just like any "live" distrib on the PC) ? or does it only run MOL ?

    Leo.

I think that for very elegant stuff that requires presence of special hardware (3d accelerator) the Vitual Machine software (MaconLinux in this case) should be able to translate the 3d Api commands of the Mac software to OpenGL of Linux.
This should have an impact on the execution speed. Does MacOnLinux support sound?

--EDIT-- When I'm saying virual machine I mean something in the sense of VMware. Nothing to do with Java VM or AmigaDE

    Estrayk:-

Don't worry - you're not the only one utilising the power
    of 3DFX's Voodoo 3 :)

    To the PegxMAC chap: -

Excellent project - I really look forward to giving MOL
a try without having to mess around with a full blown Linux
    installation of my own !

I would be more than happy to. I can at least boot into linux on my Peg II. No X Windows yet, though. I will have the output posted later today (someone will probably beat me to it).

Since you *are* including Voodoo support, let me make the official request for ATI support, then! I'm sure you are already on it, though.

I cant wait for this to come out myself! I have had a hard time with linux. The Debian installer that out refuses to complete on my Pegasos II. I get so close, and it fails all the time.

What would it take to recompile MOL to run native on MorphOS? That would be nice indeed!

A bit out of the topic ...

What about Morph-On-Linux or something like that? MOL can load mac os x, mac os 9 and linux. What about adding Morphos? I mostly use Linux (I can not type japanese properly under morphos), and it's quite annoying having to reboot all the time to load MorphOS. I'd like to run it from Linux :)
