    Hello all,

i would like to ask how to do that but i have found :-D

Click on Alt key before drag and drop files to copy them to another place of the same partition (instead Move without shortcut).

    @ Papiosaur - Wow ! :-o - that's a neat trick / keyboard shortcut that I didn't know about until now.

I'd been selecting/copying/pasting the files to do that previously, but selecting file(s) and then pressing 'Alt', and dragging the file(s) to wherever you want them to be - on the same partition - is an even neater way of doing the same thing, so thanks for that little 'gem'. 8-D

Also, if you mostly want to copy files instead of moving, there's an option in the Ambient settings to switch this behaviour. You can make it to copy files by default and moving happens with the Alt key then.

Thanks jPV for the tips ;-)
