I’m not sure if there’s any interest in this forum but I’ll post just in case. DiscreetFX still has a few hardback editions of From Vultures to Vampires books available. Please contact if you would like one before they are all gone. Worldwide shipping is free too. You should get the book before Christmas if you want to give it as a gift for yourself or another Amiga scene fan.

I’m not sure what the book costs at other vendors. From DiscreetFX while supplies last the book is 100% free. We still have 7 books left.

Received my copy today. Trevor even had Donald John Pleasence sign it. I'm not sure why Trevor didn't sign it himself, as coauthor.
I'm going to dig into it right now.
    Thanks so much, Trev.

If it really says "Donald" the signature may not be genuine ;-)

Oops, um no, it's David. I've put it down for the time being, it's a complicated story.

    “Thanks so much, Trev”

This giveaway was sponsored 100% by DiscreetFX. Now if your thanking Trevor for writing the book with David then yes, many thanks to David and Trevor for the hard work of writing this cool book. I’m eagerly awaiting Vol 2 & 3. I’ll be giving some of those away in the future as well.

My apologies, I guess my message wasn't very clear.
BTW - It's an interesting story. I didn't realize it was so convoluted. I was aware of some of the history, but not all of it. The book presents it in a fair and unbiased manner. Well written, but very information dense.

Sorry for my ignorance if it does but I wonder if it properly mentions the efforts of phase5, bplan at al anywhere or if it's just white washing history up to the present date ?

There are several Amiga documentaries so why not have several hardback books as well? DiscreetFX would give away other books that tell a different point of view like for example the road to how MorphOS happened if such a book was ever produced. Has anyone read Pedro’s book? It’s in German only. What was it that Bill McEwen said that made the MorphOS Team set out on their own path. It would have been very interesting if MorphOS had become AmigaOS 4. MOS was further along at the time. OS 4.x came out much later and sees fewer updates. The MorphOS origin story must be told!
