    Hello,
please, can somebody advice me how overclock Pegasos 1 with G3 (750CXe) ?

I found here few topics about G3 overclocking, but they are old, links are not works and original authors are not logged here for several years:
    FS: Pegasos I G3@700 MorphOS Keyfile 768MB April2 complete
Overclocking the 750CXe (G3) CPU boards
    Overclocking your G4

It will be great, if somebody have schemes or other stuff.
    Many thanks!

Ask user DJBASE! Hie did it für a PEG2-G4. Maybe he nows it also for G3.

For G4 only a new bridge has to be soldered on CPU-Board (see pic below). Don't know on G3.

Thank you! I will contact him.

But regarding the picture I am afraid, that G3 and G4 CPU cards are different.
As I know, CPU cards are the same for Pegasos 1 and Pegasos 2, only difference is in FSB frequencies ( Peg1 100MHz, Peg2 133MHz) so if there will be scheme for Peg 2 G3 multiplicator, it will be great.

Historically it was never done much, both because the G3 CPU overlocked is still pretty poor, but because the April chip is a major performance brake that'll undermine anything you do anyway - and that's if it doesn't screw up timing and cause Articia lockups.

    Probably best not to bother.

Finally, I got scheme of PLL of Pegasos 1 G3 CPU card. I tried overclocking.
Technically it is fine, unfortunatelly with higher multiplicator settings (x6.5, x7.0) Open firmware sets FSB frequency to 66MHz (was 100MHz). So, no speed increase is possible with April 1 fix. Theoretically April 2 can do better, but I have no one.

I have one question regarding USB2.0 card:
I tested two VIA and NEC USB2.0 cards, they works with Pegasos2 and Sam440ep-flex OOTB.
But inside Pegasos 1 April 1 NEC never works, and VIA behaves randomly:
VIA either don't work: (with this message in USB stack log)
    Code:
6:11 pm| 0-hub.class: Detected device 'USB 2.0 Hub [MTT]' at port 4. I like it.
    6:11 pm| 0-hub.class: Hub has added 1 device(s). That'll be fun!
    6:11 pm| 0-hub.class: Hub with 4 ports successfully configured.
    6:11 pm| 0-hub.class: I'm in love with hub 'USB 2.0 Hub [MTT]'.
    6:11 pm| 0-hub.class: Oh no! I've been shot! Arrggghh...
6:11 pm| 0-hub.class: My death killed device 'USB 2.0 Hub [MTT]' at port 4!
    6:11 pm| 0-hub.class: Oh no! I've been shot! Arrggghh...
6:11 pm| 0-hub.class: Time to get rid of 'USB 2.0 Hub [MTT]'!
6:11 pm| 0-hub.class: Time to get rid of 'PCI Root Hub Unit 1'!
    6:11 pm| 0-poseidon.library: Removed hardware pciusb.device/1. Bye bye!

or VIA works poorly: USB2.0 is fine, but graphics speed is very reduced: Copy-to-VRAM speed is reduced from 81MB/s to 26MB/s!

Interesting is, that both above cases occured with the same PCI+AGP cards configuration.
Is here somebody with Pegasos 1? Can you tell me your experinces with USB cards please?

Yes, it is all the story with my Peg1. Some questions is still unanswered ;-)

No need to "garble" our news item, there is always an English-language version ;)

    https://www.amiga-news.de/en/news/AN-2022-02-00069-EN.html

Of course we also wrote an article about sailor's great comparision of graphic cards for Sam440ep-flex (linked in the news), but there I was reproved: I should not offer automatic translation because everybody wants to use his favourite translator...

Here my brief experience with April2:

Time ago I had a VIA it worked ramdonly, ALi and NEC don't work at all.
Be careful with graphics cards which are listed as "compatible".

    Thanks,
it looks that ArticiaS with April 2 have the same or very similar issues.

Oh, April is not May, and May is not Marwell ;-))
