I have had many people ask me if we have SSH for MorphOS. I hear there is a port or a 68k version of ssh out for us. Does it work? Please post some information.. Thanks

Louise - I've tried your ssh port and it seems to work
fine with a minimal of install required.

However (and this isn't your fault) how do you get this
correctly working with the MorphOS shell so we can use
    terminal apps correctly under unix/linux?

    regards

    Hi !

For a "true" Linux terminal over SSH you need AmTelnet:
    http://www.vapor.com/amtelnet/

Unfortunatly it only supports SSH V1 for the moment.

    Bye
    MorphOS Rulez !

AmTelnet won't do.....most of the machines
I'm connecting to only support SSH V2.

Sorry - MorphOS needs to have a decent shell implementation
and networking tools if you are going to attract the
    geek crowd.

If an example geek user (non amiga user) was to try
out a pegasos the first thing they are going to ask
is "How do I ssh to my linux box?".....They won't like
    the answer.

PUTTY is portable and opensource. It works on big-endian machines and gui is separated from the core. Someone wants to port it? :)

Of course AmTelnet needs to be updated but if you look at the last update of this software it is October 2000. If it hasn't been updated in 4 years then there is alot of catch up to play.

A port of Putty would be a big plus for MorphOS.

    I know I'm demading (but I'm not a coder)

I've got the same problem as fprowse.

I have extracted OpenSSH in MOS SDK assign gg:
and I'm able to connect to my Linux server with
ssh2. I have tried several TERM settings on the
Linux side but there's always something messing
up the screen or some keys don't work. I tried
aterminfo on MOS but it didn't help either.

Does anyone know how to make it work properly?
