It seems that Mophos 3.10 will be flat :-)
Two years ago a French artist (Highlander) has made an absolutlly amazing flat theme but it was never relased because of uninstalling problems, so it's possible that his flat theme has some fans on the Morphos team :-)
He his a great guy , he his drawing fully on Morphos ..since a long time.

Acoording to http://amitopia.com/amiga32-in-neuss-germany-report/ there are two new themes, plus smoothly scaling icons, a new calendar and new Odyssey version.

We hopefully see it soon on our machines.

Barely looks different enough to warrant mention.
    So...when do WE get 3.10?

That'd be (spoiler mode on) SVG icons support (spoiler mode off), sir!

The GUI, except for the icons, does look like Win10. I don't like those modern flat designs, but that's just my opinion.

Looking forward for the updates below the hood.

Will it be possible to download a printable DVD type case cover (PDF) for MorphOS v3.10? As I really like to be able to see easily what is in a specific case, to be able to put my hands on the install disc when I need it - as those that had MorphOS v2.x had the insert sleeve.

Plus, it's nice to be able to put it on display to show to others what you're using, when there is the opportunity to do so.

Yeah! Spotted the virtual MIDI piano keyboard on one of those other photos from Neuss event, and so the audio improvement seems to be an important step forward. I just hope the printing system is also implemented, along with isochronous USB support, and hopefully lots more as well, seeing as we've been waiting so long for v3.10's release. ;-)

Yes, the new network with the fix for the WiFi encryption crack, and hopefully the implementation of 2.7 supplicant, or higher if there is anything more up to date than that already available for any other OS's, that can be incorporated into MorphOS for when the v3.10 update is released.

I'd like to see a richer feature set implemented into Folio as well, as that seems to have great potential for MorphOS. Though we really need a full office package, but if more can be integrated into Folio then I'd be OK with that, and that would then bypass many of the issues with Libre Office that have meant we haven't seen any visible headway with implementing it on our favourite OS.

The fix against KRACK would be inside wpa_supplicant, not inside the network stack.

    > I'd like to see a richer feature set implemented into Folio

Is Folio going to be part of MorphOS 3.10 anyway?

The email client will have to wait until 3.12 I am afraid. It is in the beta tests but much of the necessary functionality is still missing. I'll share some screenshots soon though ;)

3.12...hmm, good. It's like waiting for the second shoe to drop.
But if there are plans to go at least that far (and hopefully further), my plans to obtain an X5000/40 ( and possibly a SAM460 motherboard once the prices drop), those won't go unsupported at least for awhile.

    @Jim

    Dropping shoes.....

It was quite obvious that there would be a 3.11 to fix whatever issues will somehow make it into 3.10.

Doing another "add new stuff" release (aka 3.12) for PPC is also quite obvious as so far no one has really seen anything on "4.0"/"MorphOSNG"/whatever.

I'd expect the 3.x line to continue for quite some time after the 1st outing of "4.0" maybe even past it's release.

    "obvious"

    a) the team has been real secretive regarding 4.0 and what will be known as 3.10 is really just a back port of some 4.0 components

    b) after 3.10(3.11) there will be a loooooooooooong dryspell

    I don't believe in a) and I'd rather not see b).

Yes, 3.11 was a given since that would be a bug fix.

Obvious to you, at each even number, trepidation for me.

I'd hope so too, since I intend to invest in more PPC hardware.
In fact, until completely obsolete, I intend to continue using PPCs.

Jim: Don't buy a hardware because of future expectations, judge whether the price/performance ratio *now* is reasonable. Noone will warrant you future support. MorphOS is about enjoying what is actually there, not about a hypothetical future.
