    Hi asrael22,

You can use Grunch or save and format your Morphos partition then reinstall MorphOS 3.9 and the last pack 3.9.4.

I Will see to create a tool to update automaticaly the pack.

I have installed it over an existing installation.
There are some things to backup first, like the CRABUM menu settings, or the custom context menu entries.

What I've noticed is that the Grunch configuration, the path to the application, doesn't fit with where Chrysalis installs the apps.
Like Blender3D for example. Chrysalis installs it into Sys:Applications/Video/ but Grunch is configured for Sys:Applications/.

If there is no update mechanism for Chrysalis it should configure Grunch with the correct application paths.

    Hi asrael22,

    Thanks for your feedback!

    Grunch don't see Blender into sys:Applications/Video ?

I will see yhat and if i can modify the path for software are in sub-directory.

@all : Do you think it better to place all software into Applications drawer or keep sub-directory (Audio, Files, Network, Video, etc...?

Since Grunch is such a valued tool by many MorphOS users, I would suggest that you work with the people maintaining Grunch, and all software developers taking advantage of Grunch for installs and updates, to make sure that Chrysalis matches what Grunch does, and no conflicts will occur.

If individual users want to change the locations, then it will be up to them to sort out how to do it, if they still want to use Grunch.

I wish that Chrysalis didn't install everything to SYS:. That's generally a small partition. The installer does ask where MorphOS is installed but it would be nice if would also ask where to install things that don't have to be in SYS: like perhaps WORK: instead.

Although sub drawers are more logical as a file structure, the fact that Grunch does not locate them on their default drawers poses a problem which I have also faced in the past as well. Therefore I suggest to keep Chrysalis compatible with Grunch and not the other way around.

[EDIT] You can change path for each application with contextual menus...

I can't change the path for the applications that Chrysalis installs. They don't let me change the path even if I uninstall them first. They install to SYS: no matter what I do. Only the ones that are in Grunch's database that aren't installed by Chrysalis. I guess there could be something I could do to make the change happen that I haven't tried yet. If you have any ideas I'd surely appreciate it.

    Hi Pgovotsos,

click right mouse button on the item you want to update or install and choose 'change path' or similar in contextual menu.

I already tried that. No matter what path I select Grunch continues to use the original path.
