Rumor has it that MorphOS 3.10 will be released in a week. But after discussing more technical complications and aspects of the new features/additions, the release date was again TBA.

Hah! Had to guys. :P *hides*

But there's still this evil bug on screen reported ages ago:

Yes Templario ;-) i have spoken with a french morphos team member this week, and he said me that morphos will not be released very soon because they have some work to do before the release.

Yes, for instance the new IDE and debugger.

Which should be part of the SDK, not MorphOs.

Yes, my bad. I guess this will come with SDK 3.11 then.

Actually at least the debugger requires changes done to MorphOS, so debugger changes are required for the MorphOS 3.10 release.

We also don't tend to preannounce releases nor comment on the development state in public. If you read somewhere or someone tells you that MorphOS will be released at a certain time, then that statement is probably not based on facts.

Maybe, maybe not. At the moment, Scribble is part of the main distribution (as a powerful editor has wider use than software development). I have considered if this still makes sense when Scribble continues to evolve in the direction of adding IDE functionality but no decision has been taken yet.

I anyhow intend to keep a design that allows using Scribble as an ad-hoc text editor as well, without setting up projects and so on. At any rate, as Bigfoot pointed out, development on this goes hand in hand with other parts of the OS.

I confirm he has never announced any release date. But we have eaten à good "choucroute" ;-) i was at amiga terie we have seen warp3d nova with shaders support. It's at a very early state but it seems to work we have seen a small 3d demo. We must admit that some new Os4 devs are working way better than H.... It will be interesting to see what they can do now. Sure it will take a lot of time.

"It's at prerelease level. Good enough, IMHO, to let people give it a spin."

Yes of course. But there is still a big amount of work to do. Another problem is that they must remake all actual 3d software because it's not compatible with the older warp3d. They must also code an opengl2es layer. But the men who work on this seems to be a good programmer (it seems he work for cherry darling ) but i know also that this is good for Morphos...competition can start now ! Friedens are more and more criticated inside the os4 team. More talented coders are working on os4 now. I know that it's not complicated to code better than friedens of course.

Somewhere (can't find it right now) he wrote recently that Cherry Darling was no longer. He and his former business partner (graphic artist) are going separate ways now.

    Confirmed: http://morph.zone/modules/newbb_plus/viewtopic.php?topic_id=11722&forum=3&start=8

    Edit: added confirmation

I'd find that sad :( I've liked the style of Cherry Darling and would like to see more original releases from them. I'm not too interested about those ports (of remakes etc) he's engaged currently. I would much rather see some new fresh entertaining games from him/them.

From the website http://www.goldencode.eu/index.php?Theme=3&Language=1&Theme=5 his name is a bit different but still difficult: Daniel Müßener.

Too bad his partnership with his graphic artist has dissolved, but maybe it will not be too difficult for Daniel to find a replacement artist to work with him on current and future projects.

In my opinion, Daniel is one of the few remaining premier programmers that our community is lucky to have working on software for Amiga and all Amiga inspired platforms. I hope he continues to support our community far into the future, and I will purchase, and/or donate to any projects he is working on that run on any of our platforms, even if I am not interested in using it. I want to make sure I have done some small part in trying to keep valuable programmers like Daniel, working on and supporting our community. IMHO, he appears to be very talented as a programmer who can create original solutions to allow the porting of otherwise difficult or impossible software titles to most of our Amiga/Amiga Inspired platforms (and sometimes all of our platforms).
