    It would be very nice if the muzzle fire used some additive or similar blending to achieve a more organic visual transition from the flat 2D foreground to the 3D background.

    Speaking of blending, darkening the 2D plane graphics depending on the direction of the plane might also add a welcome additional layer of visual depth and greatly enhance the feeling of immersion. If you fly towards the virtual sun, the graphics would be shown as-is. If you fly in the opposite direction, the 2D cockpit and wings would be darkened by, say, 10 percent. For anything between these two directions, one would adapt the darken effect accordingly. Right now, a large portion of the game view remains static at all times. Even a small subtle change like this should make everything feel more dynamic and help to further differentiate the two player viewports visually.

    @eliot:

    There will be a MorphOS version, of course, just as promised ;-)

    @ASiegel:

    don't forget that this video is showing the AOS4 Compositing version... of course for this version some compromises have to be made. Compromises the other versions don't need :-) The compositing apis of AOS4 lack so many (pretty crucial) 2D features (especially no vertex level coloring)... it's really super basic (not to mention the new bugs I found). You won't believe what stunts are necessary for the fog alone. It actually only works on such machines because the RadeonHD class GPUs are so fast.

    Regarding the gun-fire: beta :-) Like some other things this is actually still a coder's art dummy asset.

    Wow, looking forward for MorphOS version! This could have potential for our different kind of gaming events :) Will this have some multiplayer rankings/stats system, it would be great to have games suitable for for example 8 players matches even if players would play one-on-one rounds etc :)
