Upgrade, as it improves gfx memory handling on Mac Mini :-)

    Strange.

MorphOS 2.5 comes with Graphicsmemory.sbar. So I'd say you upgrade.

But come on people. OK, I have never tried to have eight PDF files open at the same time in MorphOS myself, but is there really any reason to why 8x *single page* PDF's, with *no graphics*, only text, would drain graphics memory completely to zero?

Using enhanced display, yes, 8 large windows would use a lot of vram. But upgrading to 2.5 would at least allow you to keep an eye on vram usage.

I just tested 8 single pages pdf's. It consumes in total 30.1MB VRAM here. I have a small monitor atm, so I run only 1024x768 24 bit now. If I had a bigger screensize I'd probably have used more than that.
Luckily I have MOS2.5 and 64MB VRAM, so I did open 9 more pdfs and was then at 47.1 MB.

You burned the Mos2.5 iso and still the disc apears as Ubuntu? Then I think something have gone wrong when you burned that iso file.
Normally the 'C' button will load the CD if its bootable.
Make sure you get the iso burned right, and try again.
If you have problems with booting the disc after this, you should read this thread.

Bizzare that live ubuntu would appear - sounds like some mess-up with burning the CD/DVD imho.

On my Mac-mini (1.5GHz with A1048 keyboard) holding C does not work for boooting from CD (iirc, the booting process loaded the boot.img from the hard drive, then tried to boot the OS from the CD and failed).
As an alternative, you can boot holding the 'ALT' key which will bring up the boot selection screen. Then just select the optical drive icon to boot from the CD drive.
