    Hello Everyone,

I'm thinking of doing a MorphOS demonstration
video. I'am a freelance video editor & former
(current?) amiga freak. I dont own a pegasos
yet but I'm trying to contact a person localy
    (Raleigh, NC USA)
that is rumored to own one. I have a few questions.

    1. Can I use the video out (composite.S-video) on any of the graphics cards supported by MorphOS?
I would like to hook the pegasos right up to my
DV Camera. If not I'll find a work around.

    2. Would someone help me out with a bit of the "script". I would like pointers on what would be
the most important aspects to cover about the OS.
EX: System response, 68k emulation(JIT), best apps
    to show, etc.....

    Thanks :-D

    @spihunter

Thanks for dropping by. It sounds like you are working up quite the project.

    1) Check around (use the search feature) to look for the term "AmithlonTV" that should provide some help for using the (S)video out from certain graphics cards. I've not kept up with the activity on that as I should have (even for personal intrests), but there are several users who have been involved with this issue.

    2) In my humble opinion, the high points are the compatability with "classic" software, the new MAME, and some of the future projects. Things like fxPaint, ImageFX, browsers, MorphED, MAGUILA (a snazzy front end for MAME, and of coarse GAMES!! FroggerNG is another application that really benefits from PPC.

This could easily become a "Why I love MorphOS" thread, eh?"

    Hello targhan,

Thanks for the reply. I used AmithlonTV for a while
I even contacted the author and submitted a report
about my TV card. Does this program work with MorphOS?.

I will show MAME in the demo. That was on the must have list! Do you know if Octamed soundstudio or Digibooster pro work on the peg?.

AmithlonTV is supposed to work on some cards with MorphOS and Pegasos ;-)

Audio isn't my field of expertise, but you could ask around. Also, ProStation Audio should be ported sometime in the near future.

    Thanks again for the reply,

I wish I had all the proper hardware to test this out. I really want to do this project. I think MorphOS has alot of merit. From what I've seen so far, it seems really nice.

    @spihunter,

You're quite welcome, and thanks for coming to MorphZone.

Take a few deep breaths, relax, and you'll find a way to make your project happen. Check out the search function, and don't be afraid to cut/paste the url of any international forum results into one of the language tools linked in the lower left hand side of the site.

On "sound side", there will be MOS versions of Bars & Pipes and PSA
    iirc...

And of 0x0-apps, at least I have used Soundprobe, which works...

But it has one problem, that should be fixed in next MOS release.

That rather small problem just couses bigger problems than it is...

And for "nice MOS stuff" I must mention Knights & Merchants...
    Really nice commercial strategy game...

Oh, Developer Kit should be worth mentioning too, I just arrived home,
haven't had time to install that yet...

    Hi!
Probably no help, but maybe interesting:
    I'm working at a local TV-station and I'm
    planning to make a Pegasos-video!
As soon as MorphOS1.4 is ready (and installed on my Peggie) and I have time I'll start the rocket ;)
As soon as finished I'll make a mpeg...
Maybe s.o. want to upload it somewhere...
But I'll ask for that when ready...
    Have a nice day!
    bye

    >Do you know if Octamed soundstudio or Digibooster pro work on the peg?.

SoundStudio does not work as it has no AHI support.
DigiBooster does not work for various reasons, the biggest problem is that it's replayer doesn't work on MorphOS.
Yesterday we discovered that Audio Evolution 4 doesn't work on Pegasos either, I am trying to help the author to find and solve the problem.

ATM we're left with a zip of audio creating software :-(

    @ hooligan,

I asked about sound apps because that is what
I used my Amiga for most of the time (Soundprobe, Octamed, etc...) Wasnt there a video editing program that was in development for MorphOS? I heard about it a while back. What about Pro station Audio?

    @ Everyone,

I know its a long shot, but if anyone has any
old copies of CU Amiga magazines laying around.
look for the August 1998 issue. 2 of my mods
are in the readers section on the cover CD.
Also look here foundryzero.com. this is the company
that I 'am currently doing freelance work
    for.

Same here. I have used Med since 1.01, before that NT and ST.
Pro Station Audio will be in SuperBundle if I remember correctly. (See about the SuperBundle elsewhere in the forums)

    @ Everyone,

I'm in contact with Genesi-USA about getting
a board. If genesi has any left I'm hoping
that I can buy one at the developer price.
If not, a nice guy from Florida that is a pegasos
affilate has offered to send me one so I can
do this project with it. :-)

I'm currently trying to get a site up so you can
    see demos of my work.

    Hi Spihunter!

Keep collecting ideas and develop a plan. Against something concrete we can create a support package for you. Let's get the direct email contact going back and forth with the right folks at Genesi that can make this happen. Start here: bbrv@genesi.lu

We appreciate your interest and enthusiasm! :-D

    Sincerely,
    Raquel and Bill :-)

A program like 'a la' MOVIESHOP - DraCo program -
would be a killer. Easy to use with a bunch of Arexx :-)

draco was good when based on the amiga and they won all kinds of awards, but the later ones where based on intels and they didnt. So the point is he would have to build it not unlike the orginal amiga but with faster cpu. The hombre is just that. What was going to be the new Amiga same type of archtiecture, but much much faster. There by using true real-time and rgb-true 32bit color as with the classic amiga only has. In this way he can only make a killer videomaker. He knows and has expressed it with me via emails . Hence Bill has admitted it online via morphnews and phone calls.

Heck I was the first one to know about the "videomaker",and the promise that he made. :-D
