A new gallery is now open for uploads, Pegs&People. This gallery is there as a "who's who" for the Pegasos community.

Hi Targhan! I think you and your moderators have to set an example, I'm afraid otherwise most of our fellow Pegasos users might be too shy.

Okay, approved the first two.

@Robin: They still have to be approved, just like anything else. Trust me, you want this stuff moderated; pictures come in messed up, downloads have been taken advantage of by Windows software pushers, and a whole list of other silly things happen every now and then.

Some things seems to be wrong in the Pegs&People gallery:

1. The "submitted by" line doesn't display the nick, unless you click on the picture/link to only see that submission.

2. The colors are weird on the thumbnails (some people look like martians!)

these problems are true of all the gallery pics. (is this the 1st time you've looked at the pictures listed here???)

i don't like these problems, but it doesn't stop me from posting pics.

"Submitted by" was not a "feature" of the gallery system (at least the version I was able to find that works at all here). So that bit was all added by me, and it's not finished yet

The resizing issue has something to do with the GDLibrary, and oddly shaped/saved pictures.

What's really strange is that oGALAXYo's picture is not of himself, but it is a picture of one of the Village People!! It's gotta be!

You may have version 2.0+ of GDlib. This is not compatible with the older ones, so you should use CreateImageTrueColor() instead of CreateImage(). Try it out!

Thanks! I will try this! Actually, I'm using ImageCreate(), so wouldn't the changed function be ImageCreateTruecolor()?

AFAIK the ImageCreate has some rendering bugs in 2.0+ version (maybe tries to render in 8 bit or something), so recommended to use the TrueColor version.

I'm getting to it I have a lot of photos to go through.

As I said, ImageCreateTrueColor(). :))

And one other thing: If you really have 2.0+ GD, then you're able to use the new ImageCopyResampled() function instead of the ImageCopyReized(). It's extremly useful at resizing (e.g. screenshot thumbnails).

So... Will it be ever fixed? :)
